BFP or false positive???

NC for this so not linked to my other threads...

Already have two miracle DCs after a long history of many miscarriages. A third was never on the cards. Am on the pill. But this month I've been feeling a bit weird, tested this morning and got this!

Not exactly sure how long it took to come up as had to deal with youngest DC having a meltdown just after I took it but it was less than 5 mins.

Could it be a false positive? Or am I preggers??? Am going to try and track down a FRER today.

I’d say it’s positive. False positives are highly highly unusual. Congratulations

Thank you...I wonder if it could be an evap though. I'm out of practice with this game! Do these clearblues often have evap lines like this?

I just don't know 🤦‍♀️ DD had a meltdown outside the bathroom door just after I did it and I had to abandon it and go and sort her out. I wasn't very long, probably only a couple of minutes but I don't know exactly. If it was after the three minutes then could it just be an evap?

God I should really know this stuff 🤣

I have had tests like this before and they were evaps Sad are you able to test again with a different brand?

Yeah I'm going to try and get hold of another one today. Argh! So annoying that I don't know how quickly it came up!

@yesiknowimbonkers unfortunately yes, they tend to show evaps lately after the time frame. If you're not sure, I'd do another test, preferably with a pink dye?

I always got false positives on blue dyes, good luck retesting.

My test with my now 12yo looked exactly liked that. I assumed it was an evap and chucked it away. Grin

Try again with FRER - they're far better than blue dye tests

Oh crikey I am just going to have to test again aren't I. Never planned to have more than two - obviously I'm a little bit excited but also bloody petrified now!

Actually false positives are really very common with blue dye tests. Even more so with this kind of clear blue.

Ok total disaster, my local shop had run out of pregnancy tests completely (I wonder how many ladies on this board live near me lol) and so I drove out to the supermarket on the outskirts of town but they only had digis. Obviously I bought one but even if I was preggers there's no way that would show it yet, I'm only on CD22. So frustrating. I've ordered some FRER but won't get them until tomorrow 😡

@MCMelon that’s not true at all. If you’re going to get a false positive, it’s true it’s more likely with a blue dye test than a red but the chances of a false positive are still really really slim

Order a first response from Amazon. It looks positive to me but I’ve had ones like that before with clear blue and it was negative in the end.

Thanks everyone. My FRERs arrived this morning and of course I did one immediately, not FMU or anything. Stark white without even a squinted of a line so I think it must just have been an evap on the clearblue.

Still feel a bit odd though, can't shake the feeling that I might be pregnant. Guess I'll test again tomorrow in a few days. Jeez never thought I'd be doing this again!

Ok so this morning I got the squintiest of squinters on a FRER, I took a photo but you really can't see it. I also found some old ICs in the back of the bathroom cupboard - just did one and I can def see something, although they are past their expiry date! So don't know if it counts.

Still feeling sick, sore boobs, sore lower back and have thrush which I never get 🤮Yesterday my four year old announced out of the blue to DH that 'mummy has a baby in her tummy'. I haven't mentioned my suspicions to anyone yet, not even DH, so no idea where that came from!!

Also I checked back from when I had DC2 (thank god for MN) and I got BFNs even on FRER right up to 12DPO. So I guess there's still time. Argh.
