Freaking out

Hi guys. I’m trying to conceive again after a miscarriage and am desperate to make it happen as soon as I can. I’m quite sure that I’m currently ovulating due to my moodiness, cramps and increased discharge. No sex is happening tonight and I’m upset because we last had sex 2 days ago. What are the chances that conception can still happen? I’m praying I haven’t ruined it for this month ffs.

Not sure on the chances, but not impossible, nothing wasted. No chance of sex at all?

Annoyingly, I don’t think sex is happening. I’ve always read that sex 1-2 days pre ovulation is good, as sperm survives much longer than an egg. If I haven’t conceived then the egg is probably dead by now Anyway.

Fingers crossed! I’m going to test in about 2 weeks time if my period doesn’t show up before then.

Just read that most sperm die within 24-48 hours, even inside the body. Brilliant. Guess I’m probably out this month now?

That's not true?

I thought it wasn’t true. Every other source says up to 5 days. Some say a week. If you count my fertile window as the 5 days up to ovulation and the day itself, I believe I’ve actually had sex twice during that window (well, once at least for definate) a lot of people say they ovulated around the normal time after a CP (cd14) cd14 would put me around the 28th of last month, so I’ve either ovulated fairly late or it already happened.

I understand the desperation to be pregnant after a mc. It took me 8 months after mine to fall pregnant again , having taken 8 months to fall pregnant the first time.

Remember, it only takes one sperm on any one occasion. Believe me when I say that you can have sex once, five or 20 times in your fertile window after a mc and it still may not happen.

Hey, don't beat yourself up or be down

My partner and I only DTD twice in our fertile window (four and three days away from ovulation) and I'm pregnant. I didn't think we stood a chance, didn't even think much about the TWW, tested at 11po and had a clear as day positive/including digital.

You have a chance even covering once. Sperm survives up to 5 days!

To add, we had a miscarriage then I got my period and it happened the cycle after that!

Thanks so much . To be fair last time I didn’t even really bother about how often we dtd or when we did it. It’s often be every 2-3 days and I still got pregnant quickly.
