Taking a break from ttc

Have decided this month to take a month off all of the ovulation tests etc as I am mentally drained with all the negative pregnancy tests and AF arriving every month without fail!!

In the past month there has been 5 pregnancies announced around me. None of whom were trying and it's just deflated me so much. Of course I'm so happy for them all but just feel totally drained so won't be testing for this month and will give another go next month with SMEP method.

How's everyone else getting on? Anyone feeling as drained as me?

Hi! I think that's a great idea and I completely sympathise with how you feel - I'm nearing the end of cycle 14 after the late loss of my son last year and I am so drained with it all. Don't even think I can face testing this cycle, will just wait for my period to arrive on Thursday. So sick of squinting at and agonising over stark white tests for days every month!

I'm sorry about the tough time you've had with pregnancy announcements - of course you're happy for them, but it is also very difficult when you're still in the midst of TTC and the disappointment that comes with it. It sounds like you could really use a wee break - relax, drink wine (or chosen booze 😂) eat what you like and have sex when you're in the mood and not because of an OPK!

I hope that you enjoy the well-deserved break and that a BFP is on the cards for you very soon, which I'm sure it will be 💕
