Ovarian ectopic?!

Hello

I was due my period 7 days ago, I tested 10 days ago and got a faint line. Tested a couple of days later, still very faint so assumed a chemical and waited on bleeding.

Since then I've had tender breasts and upset stomach.

Self referred to EPU (long history of gynae problems and issues, recurrent miscarriage, endo) today as still have no period and they took me in for a scan.

Nothing can be seen inside my uterus, the lining is still thick at 10.6mm, ovulation confirmed from right ovary, my left ovary is enlarged and has a cyst which also shows something else in the ovary, a small bubble like shape.

They were scratching their heads at this, mentioned possibility of an ovarian ectopic but said this is very rare and never seen before by either of them. Took my bloods, the consultant is going to look at the scan photos and they will call me in the morning.

Has anyone ever heard of this? I've googled, from what I read it is very very rare and there isn't any forum posts of anyone who's experienced it. I'm getting a bit anxious regarding this. No bleeding but some cramping.

Thank you in advance xx

I'm sorry you've got this worry ❤️ I had a suspected heterotopic pregnancy where they could see a gestational sac with a small fetal pole but there was also a mass by my left ovary and something they called a ring of fire, so lots of heat in the area and they thought it was another pregnancy. I thought you could only get ectopic pregnancies in the tube. I didn't have bloods, but had a follow up scan a few days later (whilst being told to be on the lookout for signs of a rupture). At the follow up scan whatever it was had gone, but I did miscarry that pregnancy.

I hope you get some clarity tomorrow xx

@VenusStarr so sorry for your loss ♥️ I've had multiple chemicals and 5 early losses after a heartbeat and I've never had anything as weird as this! Attached some pictures of my faint positives however I gave up after the second test which was taken a day later just thinking it was a chemical. The lack of bleeding has really messed with my head!

Just want tomorrow to hurry up now so I can get my blood results and see what's going on xx

I'm sorry you've had multiple losses @ericaandfamily I had my 5th in June, it's just heartbreaking.

I hope you get some answers tomorrow xx

Ladies look into immunes and dr Gorgy or dr Shehata . I had 4 losses before starting immune treatment and now in second trimester. Wishing you both so much luck it’s such a horrible painful journey

Congratulations @Funtimedreamer I'm under Dr Shehata - I've got overactive nk cells and on an immune protocol. My last loss was unrelated to my immunes (according to Dr S), so I did the Endometrio tests but nothing was found. Hoping our FET in October will be a positive outcome. Best wishes x

So sorry for you too @VenusStarr it's a tough journey I really hope you get your healthy, sticky baba soon and I've heard Dr Shehata is one of the best there is 🤞🏻♥️

@Funtimedreamer thank you so much. I have looked at Dr Shehata as his clinic is only 30 minutes from where I live but his waiting list is very long. So sorry for your losses, I'm so happy to hear you are in your second trimester, lots of love and best wishes to you ♥️

I ended up in EPU as I've got a history of recurrent miscarriage and have to go as soon as I get a positive. Took my clearblue test with me, yep definitely positive.

Did an internal scan, nothing other than a thick lining, confirmed they could see I'd ovulated as the corpus luteum was seen. They were concerned I was having a rare "ovarian ectopic" as there was a cyst in my ovary with another bubble shaped thing inside. Had bloods taken, apparently my HCG was less than 2 so not pregnant.

I'm now on CD36, 13 days late. No sign of AF, no usual symptoms I get when I'm due on like being a bit moody, in fact I feel great except from my aching boobs which I've had only in pregnancy before.

How strange to have positive tests, have ovulated, be late and your hcg is less than 2. It's so confusing @ericaandfamily what's the next steps, did they say? I hope you're OK, I can imagine you don't know what to think right now xx
