7dpo - anyone testing soon?!

Elsie2021 · 06/09/2021 13:03

I’m 7dpo today and keep flitting between wanting to test tomorrow and every day after that until AF arrives and wanting to wait until I’m late cause I can’t take the disappointment of a negative test.

Anyone else around 7dpo and now are you feeling ?!

Hey I'm 8dpo today and I tested this morning which was silly as I knew it would be negative 🤦🏻‍♀️ I will probably keep testing until af arrives cause the excitement if its positive will outweigh the disappointment for me. Do you have any symptoms?

Elsie2021 · 06/09/2021 13:37

Nope I have no symptoms whatever however I have been pregnant twice (both miscarriages, one at 11 weeks and one at just 5 which was last month) and I had no symptoms either time then either.

Although, I am feeling strangely positive about this cycle! For no reason really, which is another reason why I don’t want to test in case it takes my positivity away.

Good luck for tomorrow !! 🤞 Please update! What’s your story? 🙂

I'm 9DPO today, tested and it was negative but maybe I'm doing it too early 🤦‍♀️ I will wait a couple of days before testing again.

Good luck to you!

glittersparkles1 · 06/09/2021 13:52

@Elsie2021 oh okay that's good to hear, nice knowing you don't have to any symptoms early on to still get a positive result. Think we are so guilty of symptom spotting. I've been feeling a bit sick when in bed the last few nights but that could be down to anything and having insomnia. I was feeling positive but I'm not now. So I have a boy already and this is my first cycle trying for #2. It took 3 cycles last time to conceive and I didn't have an easy pregnancy or birth so I'm actually expecting it to take longer to conceive this time round. I've been quite chilled so far in this 2ww but now I'm 8dpo I'm just desperate to know now

Dinkydonut1 · 06/09/2021 13:56

I'm 10dpo and I've just had some FRER's arrive from Amazon. I'm trying to hold off testing until tomorrow morning with fmu but the temptation is real 😆

Elsie2021 · 06/09/2021 14:30

@allthingssparkly 9dpo is still v early. Good luck for next time!

@Dinkydonut1 oo 10dpo! Those 3 extra days seem like a lifetime away 😂 you need to distract yourself tonight! FMU on 11dpo is probably a good time to test. Testing this evening could leave you with a frustrating question mark!

Good luck everyone. Let’s hope this is a lucky thread!!

It's my day off today so I'm currently having a bath and then I'm going to do a food shop. This evening I'll have to try and find a new Netflix show or something to distract me - any recommendations? 😂
I'm feeling positive that this will be a lucky thread! 🤞

Elsie2021 · 06/09/2021 15:33

@Dinkydonut1 have you seen clickbait on Netflix?

I’ve just started watching that, that’ll keep you distracted! 😂

Hiya can I join in?! I think I’m 5 dpo, and really can’t wait and tested this morning 🙈 I thought I saw something, because of course I did 😆
But, I’ve been a bit excited as my RHR is higher than ever, and has been constantly on the rise since last Thursday…I’m cautiously optimistic about it!
How are you ladies doing on being super patient??☺️

7dpo - anyone testing soon?!
7dpo - anyone testing soon?!
Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 16:15

Sorry @mrsS21 but at 5dpo it's nearly impossible to see anything. It takes at least 24h after implantation for hcg to rise, so you'd have implantation at 4dpo. It's highly unusual to have implantation before 6dpo. But as you said you "think" you're 5dpo, you might have ovulated earlier?

mrsS21 · 08/09/2021 18:15

Yep think I’m just wishful thinking at the moment @Bundaberg84. My logical side knows I it’s nonsense, but I’ve never had a spike like this before. I’ll just wait and see if af arrives…

newtolineofduty · 08/09/2021 18:31

Hi ladies! So I'm 10dpo today on cycle four TTC number 2. I got pregnant straight away with DD so this is my first time 'trying' and it's really taken it's toll so far on both me and DP. I know it's early but I'm older now and keep thinking the worst. Last month I had every pregnancy symptom under the sun and was so disappointed when I wasn't pregnant. My period was even late and I'm never late! It's had a really positive impact on me though because it's meant that this month I've done no symptom spotting or googling so I've given it much less headspace than I usually would so almost feel like I've had a break from TTC this month especially as we couldn't do it on peak days as DP was away! I've felt so much more positive and relaxed as a result. For me I hate looking at a negative test so I'm not planning on testing early. The first couple of months I started testing at atound day 10 and just found it such a head f*. I hate those days in the lead up to AF though. It's a combo of hope mixed with an impending sense of doom! Xxx

Charl881 · 08/09/2021 20:20

I’m 7 dpo today (I think, could be 6 as not entirely sure when I ovulated). I tested way too much last month but I have a load of cheapies this month and I’ll probably do one a day from tomorrow for peace of mind. I’m away at the weekend so going to try not to test on Saturday and Sunday but got a FRER ready for Monday. No symptoms though.

chasingtherainbow1 · 08/09/2021 20:28

@Elsie2021 I'm only 3dpo but have a similar story to you. I've had 2 miscarriages this year, one directly after the other. First one at 5.5 weeks and second at 10 weeks but was a mmc. I was feeling quite positive this month although saying it aloud scares me because I feel like I'm jinxing it. Currently, my boobs are starting to get sore but that usually happens a few days after ovulation for me so will see if they get worse

Bundaberg84 · 08/09/2021 21:37

@mrsS21 I feel you! And sorry if I came across harsh, didn't intend to ;)

@newtolineofduty I can relate to this. I don't test until I'm late this cycle. I mean if I'm pregnant, I will still be even if I don't know it four days earlier right? It's a false sense of having any control in a way.

mrsS21 · 09/09/2021 20:51

No worries @Bundaberg84, I got what you meant :) I’m not sure why we torture ourselves when we know it’s too early.
I’ve everything crossed for you this month, when are you due your af?

Bundaberg84 · 09/09/2021 22:37

Thank you @mrsS21

Sunday or Monday... Iif I manage to not test tomorrow I should be safe, as I'm away that weekend and won't bring any tests. Will be back home Monday and intend to teat then, or if AF didn't arrive, Tuesday. But I don't think I can wait until Tuesday ;)

mrsS21 · 10/09/2021 03:57

Aww lovely @Bundaberg84 :) hope you have a wonderful weekend away! It is so much better if we can hold out until af - means we’re saved the heartache of seeing any chemical pregnancy. I’m s a good call not taking tests with you so you’re not tempted! :)

Elsie2021 · 10/09/2021 09:44

Hi everyone

Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet. As it gets closer to AF I find it really tough!

I start the TWW so hopeful and desperate to test but as AF gets closer I start to lose hope and dread AF appearing or seeing a negative test.

I’m 11dpo now, was planning on testing tomorrow but now I don’t know if I will. I’d just hate to see a negative test. I’m also feeling very crampy today so i think AF is on her way anyway.

Sorry to be a bit miserable. This TTC stuff really is a head f* isn’t it.

Hope you’re all doing okay. Baby dust ✨

newtolineofduty · 10/09/2021 16:15

@Elsie2021 feel exactly the same of you! I absolutely DREAD the lead up to AF due date so the TWW goes really quickly for me!!!!! Xxx

allthingssparkly · 11/09/2021 20:43

I've had a painful bleed for 3 days around the time AF would be due and now it's stopped this afternoon 🤷‍♀️
