Ovulation test can it detect pregnancy

Hi guys I was wandering if you could help.
We are trying for number 2 for over a year.. I’m so bloated and don’t feel right.. I have just done a ovulation test, I’m due on my period in 3 days, I was just wandering can they predict pregnancy? Also does this look like a positive test! Thank you for your help!

Light pink spotting and cramps started today, so I guess it wasn't me at to be.

Do this has happened again I'm due on tomorrow, lots of symptoms, sore boobs, headaches everyday last five days, skin has broken out and achy joints extreme tiredness. But is it?! Ahhh

That's not a positive opk though op, we all get a slight second lh surge prior to af so that's why you can get a second line before your period. For a opk to be positive the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line, good luck xx

There is nearly always some LH in our urine so there might always be some sort of line there. Like PP said, that one you’ve done isn’t quite positive and you do get a bit of a surge before your period too.

OP you need to stop using ovulation tests as preg tests. The hormone (lh) that they measure always rises just before a period, so you'll get a 2nd line.

This might still be your month op but opk tests are not the way to go. Also those clear blue stick reader ones you've used always have two lines x

I'm a day late did a test yesterday, middle
Of the day it was negative, but drank a lot?! Still no sign of AF as yet x

I detected my ectopic pregnancy using ovulation tests. These exact CB digital ones. as I had my peak twice then bfp

It's normal to get an LH surge just before your period - don't keep testing using ovulation tests, you'll get the same result every month. Buy a load of cheap HCG tests from eBay and use those instead.

@MrsColon thanks so much! It is a kick, but people have been through worse than me, I just wish the hormones wouldn't make you cry so much!

It's not misery top trumps, regardless of how easy/difficult it is to conceive it's normal to feel sad when you think it's happened but it doesn't pan out.

Re: hormones, I know what you mean. Before my last miscarriage I had a full-on, snotty, tearful meltdown at DH because he ate the last of the Rice Krispies - which normally only he eats, I just fancied some that day!

@MrsColon oh my god bless yih, it's so hard, I'm so lucky as it's our second child we are trying for, but I feel like I'm letting my DH and dear daughter down with my stupid body as it's been a year and half we've been trying. But I know I should be grateful, people are in a lot worse situation than me! Sending so much love your way! You cry over that it's so allowed! Thank you for being so lovely to this sad old girl!

It sure can my ovulation tests never once picked up when I was ovulating but I tried it 6 weeks pregnant and sure enough! Strong as ever.

Hey, so my partner and I have been TTC for almost 2 years with no joy. This month I monitored my ovulation etc. How soon after ovulation would you guys say to test for pregnancy? Everyone round us seems to be getting their chance and it's just not happening for us 😪 TY in advance x
