TTC - Pfizer Covid jab affecting cycles

Hey all! At the end of my first month of TTC I received my first Pfizer jab which I believe caused my period to come on early and it was very heavy and longer than usual. I hadn’t been tracking my ovulation so not sure how this could have affected me, but I had my second jab last month, I booked it for the first day of cycle, hoping it wouldn’t affect me that month, but I’m now 3 days late for my period, no sign of it and all negative pregnancy tests!

Just wondered if anyone else experienced this? I’m worried I’ll skip a period and it will be ages until I ovulate again. I’ve got some ovulation sticks on the way in the post to keep track!

Just want to start my period now so I can try again! This will be the 6th month trying.

Mine got messed up which was pretty unhelpful when trying to book for my smear test. Finally got it done yesterday and the nurses were saying its something they have heard a lot of. Soory, wish I could offer more than sympathy!

*sorry

Glad you’ve finally had your smear done! Did you end up skipping a period all together? It’s frustrating not knowing what’s going on isn’t it!

Hi, I wasn’t ttc when I had my first vaccine, but I had my second vaccine on the last day of my cycle and I tracked my ovulation and I ovulated a week late. AF is due in the next couple of days but I’m fully expecting it to be late x

I feel like it's really common though don't medical experts claim it isn't.

I had my first vaccine just after my ovulation in my last cycle (though I wasn't ttc then and my period came on as normal but I now believe I'm late to ovulate. I'm on cd19 and I usually ovulate cd15.

I was just googling a related issue!

I had the second Pfizer dose on the 17th August during my period (CD5)

We've been TTC for about 10 months but I skipped July in preparation for the jab. Generally my cycles are between 28-31 days and usually ovulate around day CD18. I thought maybe I'd missed my peak this month, or maybe I'm not going to ovulate because of the vaccine 🤷🏻‍♀️

So just did a test and I'm now at my peak on CD24 which will probably mean a super long cycle 🤦🏻‍♀️ which isn't normal for me.

No idea if it's related to the vaccine. But it's weird how this cycle is all over the place

Ahh, it’s annoying isn’t it! I wish I’d have known this might happen so I could have tracked my ovulation and could have caught it this month :(

Just hoping the next cycle is normal and I don’t miss my ovulation again!
