Hi all

Has anyone used these before? Pre conception multivitamin and folic acid. Have seen people avoiding Pregnacare so thought I’d get opinions on these please?

Oh god, I take the Pregnacare conception ones! What's the deal with them? Going to follow this thread incase I'd be better switching to Seven Seas ones! 13 failed cycles already so want to make sure I'm doing everything right! x

I'm also curious about whats the deal with pregnacare so following this thread too! I switched from seven seas ones only because I thought pregnacare were the better option...

Sometimes these multivitamin supplements make your cycle a bit wonky that’s usually why people don’t like them, but it’s very individual and that never happened to me. Seven Seas has been fine for me, I like the day of the month packaging like the pill.

They won’t get me pregnant, of course, but they don’t make me sick unlike some other brands (sometimes the zinc in supplements makes me nauseous) and they have the stuff most women need when ttc.

PinkFizz1 · 01/09/2021 15:15

Sorry ladies didn’t mean to scare you! The reviews I’ve heard about Pregnacare is that it tends to lengthen your cycle, mess with your ovulation dates and just generally make you feel a bit sicky/ill.

No idea if that’s true, haven’t taken them, just wondered if Seven Seas were the better option. Sorry to worry anyone!

Hey - I've been taking them since end of 2020 with no issues at all. Haven't done anything to my cycle and they're really easy to take as you only have to take 1 and they're really small. I've not had a BFP but don't think vitamins will affect your chances, just good to start taking the folic ASAP. I would recommend them. Good luck! X

Hey.. finally a post i can contribute too..

I use these. I've been TTC for about 6 months now? I think me and my partner keep missing that 'window' and im sure I know when..

Before these, I noticed I wasn't getting much, if any cervical mucous.. then since taking these (month and a half now) my EWCM, and after has been a really good consistency. Even my partner has noticed (he keeps asking me when do we have the baby egg whites haha)

But also this cycle, with taking these. I got incredibly aches in my right ovary exactly the same time as getting ewcm and it timing with my fertility app.. so I don't know if these vitamins help.. but the placebo so far is making me feel a little positive about the tww?

I hope you catch soon, just as I hope I do too.. and hope this helps x

Incredible aches**
Sorry my English is so bad on a night shift haha..

Just following. I don't know if they help, but I've felt more during this ovulation window than what I have before. And I say we've been trying for 6.. I'd say we've been seriously trying for 3 months (this cycle being the third)

YAY6DPO two week wait torture haha x
