Menstrual cup to aid conception?

I have come across a couple of articles recently that say menstrual cups can aid with conception if put in directly after sex as they mean sperm can't exit the vagina and can only go in one direction, and they also hold the sperm nearer the cervix.

I have a cup anyway for my periods so didn't know whether it was worth a try this month.

Anybody heard of this before or tried it?

I did it once and did manage to conceive in that cycle, although it did end in a MMC unfortunately (but I’d been trying for over a year at that point). There was a lot of women saying it could lead to infection though and to avoid doing that.
My next successful cycle after that was using preseed instead which I think really helped the sperm get to the right place.

Interesting, wonder if it did help you then, though sorry to hear about your MMC :(

I guess the infection risk is the same as general cup use.

Might pick up some preseed this month, have seen a few recommendations for that :) Thanks.
