Negative opk: how does my body know?!

I'm ttc #2 and I've had 29 day cycles for a fair few months now. I'm on cd14 so was expecting a positive opk to ovulate tomorrow and it couldn't be fainter 🤦‍♀️.

Can I have stories please of people who have had invisible lines and then blazing positives that evening? It has happened to me in the past but I don't see it happening today! It's hard to believe when it's yourself! Also, I know you aren't meant to use cheapies in the morning but I always have.

I don't want to temp as I temped for 16 cycles of ttc with my daughter and it was way too stressful.

Have you started taking supplements eg pregnacare? Totally cocked up my cycle.

I started taking folic acid and vitamin d but not pregancare. Also had my first vaccine about a month ago too and this will be my first ovulation since then.

Ah, probably the vaccine then - lots of people have said that it has messed with their cycle.

I have a 26ish day cycle and had a totally blank negative opk at cd14, I thought my batch was faulty because I didnt even have a second line. Then got a second line on day 15 and a definite positive on day 16. How many times a day do you test?

bigblueboots · 31/08/2021 22:57

The vaccine has messed with my cycle both times - I am normally 27-29 days with ovulation day 17-19. This month post-vaccine I've just had my positive opk on CD24. Frustrating because circumstances mean I can't DTD again this month, we tried CD15 but obviously no chance that worked.

Chanel05 · 01/09/2021 15:34

@Monicatatie I test 4x a day.

@Chanel05 could well be the vaccine. My af was late the month I had my second dose. I wasnt using opks yet but I imagine I would have my positive much later
