Have I ovulated 2 weeks after miscarriage?

Hello Everyone,

I had a missed miscarriage and opted for surgical management which took place exactly 2 weeks ago.

Out of interest, I bought some ovulation tests and it looks like I might have ovulated already.

Can this happen so quickly ? I feel ready for sex and the bleeding has stopped - just nervous this may be too soon. Appreciate your thoughts.

Hi I am about to have surgical management for a missed miscarriage but in the info given to me was advice to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks later to check the pregnancy hormone has gone. It could be thst you still have pregnancy hormones causing causing test to be like that?

As pp said, I'd take a pregnancy test to see if it's still positive. My friend still tested positive 14 days after her surgery...

Nobody told me to take a pregnancy test, but that would make sense.

I think I'm just desperate to be pregnant again. Think it's my hormones getting the better of me.

@Legoisaws8om I am sorry you are having surgical management. I hope everything goes well . It did for me , but still a rubbish thing to experience.

My ovulation and pregnancy tests stayed positive for 7 entire weeks after my D&C for miscarriage so I'd definitely check a pregnancy test. In the end I had to have blood work to know exactly when the hormone dropped to zero so I could accurately track ovulation.

But in theory it's possible so if you feel up for sex and the bleeding has stopped you're probably good to go.

Sorry for your loss Thanks.

I was told to take a pregnancy test 3 weeks after my surgical management and it should be negative by then.

It is possible to ovulate two weeks after but I'm afraid it's likely to still be pregnancy hormone that is making your opk get a positive. This happened to me too.

I think from what I've read is your cycle will be out so ovulation won't be easy to track until you have your period but it doesn't mean you can't have sex if you feel ready. Just makes it harder to work out dates if you haven't had a a period and you fall pregnant. X
