Hi guys

What do you all do during the two week wait in terms of drinking? I really try hard to avoid it, but I've got a few events over this week where everyone one will be drinking. I m never sure what to do...

It's sometimes a bit of a sensitive subject and highly personal. And while I'm in the team drubk till it's oink I'd never tell someone to do so. The first one or two cycles I didn't drink, but as I figured that might be a longer journey I changed my mindset. I don't want to out my life on hold, and the not drinking at all made the 2WW even more hard, and each AF arriving felt more devastating. So I'm limiting my alcohol intake but don't stay abstinent.

We’ve been to 2 weddings during the TWW and I drank lightly, glass or 2 of bubbles, small glass of wine at dinner

@MissLB I think it's a really personal thing. I doubt there's a right and wrong answer.

I personally don't really drink at all now but I'm almost 2 years in and 1 IVF transfer down so for me this is how I stay focused/positive but that's not to say it's the correct way.

I think whatever you're comfortable with is the right way to go 🥰

I'm a drink till it pink but that's due to my own past situations and feeling like it makes the 2ww even more disappointing when AF arrives. But like previous posters it depends on each individual. Whatever you think is best for you Smile

I drink. Don’t want to put my life on hold. But when I had my DS I had one beer during the TWW and felt too ill after to have any more, turns out it was because I was pregnant!

Thanks all! Just wanted a bit of reassurance. I didn't really drink the first 3 months (I think in fact only on my wedding day) but now I think 'well what if this is a 2 or 3 year thing'. I don't think I can say no to all the social events for that long without starting to get really sad and lonely . So thank you for putting my mind at ease :) xx
