Had the copper coil removed 28th July day 2/3 of cycle, no LH surge on easy@home tests all august, period was due 22nd but have only had light spotting since 26th.. lots of BFN Sad usually periods very regular and heavy.

Do I have hope that I might ovulate this month? I am so lonely in all this and feel like my body is broken, I’m dying for some hope and to hear any ladies who have had similar to me at then conceived soon after

Please help xxx

Hi @Beauxo!
A friend of mine had irregular cycles for a bit after the removal of the copper coil. It's possible that you'll have a late ovulation this cycle. Did you do anything else differently this month? Vitamins, anything?

Okay, in the kindest possible way, you need to take a step back and calm down!! Your body is probably still adjusting to having the coil removed, and you need to allow it that time. By all means, continue to track your cycles but you’re putting a lot of pressure on a brand new situation, and that in itself won’t help you. It’s far too soon to be throwing around things like your ‘body is broken’!!

Hey thank you for replying, I started taking TTC vitamins but that’s all! Hoping a proper period comes so I feel like it’s reset. Feeling lonely and lost atm x

What brand are you using?

Chanel05 · 29/08/2021 08:04

In the nicest possible way, it can take up to a year for your body to adjust after coming off contraception and up to a year to conceive. If you only conceived in August 2022, that'd be perfectly normal. Ttc can be a very long, emotional journey so give yourself a break for at least the first 6 months.

Using my local supermarket one, tesco! X

What @Chanel05 said. It can be a long journey, and it's totally normal. You can also get pregnant next cycle - everything is possible. Each journey us different.
