clear blue purple ovulation tests

hi all I'm TTC #1, I am on my 3rd cycle and this is the first cycle using the purple clearblue ovulation tests...

I am currently on CD9, I have a 27-28 day cycle and usually ovulate on day 14-15. (I think)

Yesterday I did a test and it was an empty circle and today it's a flashing smiley.. so I guess I'm in my 5 fertile days from today?

Has anybody had any success with these?
I DTD last night & plan to DTD tonight, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So that's cycle day 8,9, 11, 13 & 14 if it all goes to plan lol.

Interested to hear other people experiences with these tests xx

I had a lot of success with them and was a total fan but they do get expensive especially if you want to test more than once a day - when I swapped to the cheap strips from Amazon and used an app like Premom which basically does the same thing I never went back to Clearblue x

Premom is great! I can always find my peak with the easy@home opk and Premom app.

I've been off the pill for 9 months now, not actively ttc previously but we've started using these tests this cycle.

I have had a few dodgy (short) cycles the past couple so I started the tests on CD6 as per the instructions. Got my first flashing smiley on CD8 (which I was shocked at being so early in my cycle) and currently on CD12 so 5th day of flashing.

Thinking static smiley will be tomorrow but who knows?!

How have you been finding the tests? xx
