Hoping it's a month with lots of baby dust for us all.

Just caught up, exciting to see lots of BFP!! I got mine right at the beginning of sep but turned into a chemical sadly so I need to rejoin but my dates mean I need an October bus!! Just finished ovulation and I'm having a 3 week wait as I refuse to ever test early again after the chemical! I'll test once AF is a week late. I'm ok about it, after trying for 12 months i was glad to just be able to know I can conceive

Sorry for the delayed reply! Ahh well our first borns must be the same age as I was around 8 weeks by the end of Sept 2018 too!

Still nothing to report here other than a few BFN’s but I expected them to be as I’m not due on until Oct 2nd! I did have some yellow discharge the other day and I read online that it’s a sign of fertilisation. Not getting my hopes up though and just trying to chill. Still only just figured out how all this conception stuff really works 😅 so if I’m not pregnant this month I think we’ll have a better shot next month. And at least it’s fun trying haha!

I was so convinced this would be my month. Nausea, migraine, cramps on one side... well woke up to AF in full flow! Only 9dpo so my luteal phase is too short, which I'm guessing is because my 1 year old is still nursing a lot. Going to try and night wean this month to see if it helps. Wish me luck!

Hey everyone feel like I've not really been around on here much recently but I've still been checking in. I'm due to ovulate any day now and had strange cramping today (if I was in my TWW I would have thought it was implantation) anyone get ovulation pains and what are they normally like for you?
Loving all the positives this thread, hopefully October will be a good month for a lot of us too!

So contrary to popular opinion my cheapie ovulation strips detected LH surge 12 hours before my clear blue OPK. Very interesting but now time to DTD 🙌🏻

@SkaterChick oh me too! I got my bfp on Monday at 10dpo but it hasn't stopped me testing yesterday and today as well 🤷‍♀️ Think I'm paranoid!

My DH went away on Monday for work so DTD early doors but not due to O until Fri/Sat so was hoping O would be earlier this month but still just getting flashing smilie on CB ovulation tests so think I'm out this month before it even starts 😫😫 I have had slight O type cramps yesterday and today but that was me wishful thinking. What a waste of a cycle! He always works away but been lucky so far that he's been home when O occurred in past months. We knew this would happen soon or a later. Urgh!

@BH1926 I feel your pain, my partner works shifts and I work early mornings so we can go several days where we've slept in the same bed but I'm out the door before he's awake and I'm asleep before he gets home.
I'm still kinda not believing the test, we only DTD twice and I thought we missed the ovulation days. We were planning on taking a break as the due date if we are pregnant this month falls on a trip booked for next June (been booked since 2019, thanks COVID!)

My best friend gets married next Aug and I'm a bridesmaid so was hoping I'd of fallen by now so wasn't pregnant or due around wedding but suppose life doesn't work that way 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll happily be heavily pregnant at her wedding now if it means we get our wee Baba 🤰🏼😂 she knows we are trying so doesn't care if I'm pregnant or that at wedding she just wants another baby to spoil 🥰

My period arrived yesterday and I had a big talk with DH about his opinion what we should do next. He still believes 3 is a magic number so we asked another round of IUI from our clinic. October won't be a stressful month at work (managing a pub) and I think I will able to take another week off too. I booked a scan next Tuesday morning and I hope o happens before or after the weekend as my clinic is closed on those days. Ordered more lh strips which includes some hcg strips too as I'm changing my mindset to more positive thinking. 😉

BTW congratulations to everyone for their BFPs soo amazing to see that miracles still can happen 🥰

We've got a busy couple of weeks now so hoping the TWW flies and I have a positive outcome at the end 🤞🏽

I tested a few days ago when I was 11dpo (I think) and I was 4 days off being due AF. It was a BFN so I’m not going to test again until either hopefully after AF is due which is this Friday! It’s only our first month of trying so I’m not too stressed. And I had a negative result like 3+ weeks after conception with my first so maybe I take longer to produce the hormone 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SkaterChick I'm sure I remember your post from earlier in the chat regarding going to stop trying due to a holiday! Glad you got that second line 😬

AF is due tomorrow for me but I have been to the toilet today and think she is here one day early. I'm feeling positive as it's the first month I really have put 0 pressure on myself, no early test, no symptoms spotting (it's crazy how many symptoms you don't have when not looking for them)

Plus it is my birthday tomorrow and I am away with OH and friends for the whole weekend so a nice big drink will be needed for the weekend 😄

@purpleskyssssss you're right, I was trying to pause and didn't really want it to happen this month. But we just kinda left it to fate, I did no opks, no tracking and then my period was late 😂😂 if the little bean sticks it'll be due around 2nd-6th June (based on last period date but I don't have a definite cycle length) and I'm due to go away on 1st June 😂 I'm prob still going to go (they have hospitals...) As it's a once in a lifetime non refundable 2 years postponed trip... I wasn't even with my boyfriend when j made my initial booking almost 3 years ago lol.

@SkaterChick if it's non refundable then in a way there's less pressure- you'll either go or you won't and you can just wait and see until the time comes. But, if you don't get to go, I reckon having your first baby is a pretty once in a lifetime trip too ;)

My mum turned 60 last year and went travelling for 6 months around Asia and then Australia and New Zealand so I bet there's no trip that couldn't be taken later in life if you have to.

Obviously I don't mean last year, that would have been one insane trip! She's 64 now!
