Hey ladies, thought I’d jump on. New to all this and I’m totally lost with most of the acronyms so I’ve been trying to work it all out! I got pregnant with my first when we DTD unprotected just one time in the middle of a dry spell. So I obviously thought it was easy peasy didn’t I 🥴

Anyway we’re on our first cycle of trying. I had no idea about when you ovulate and symptoms to look out for, or anything like that but I had a rough idea and we DTD hopefully enough during my fertile week! Based on the web I’m roughly 7-8DPO and my AF is due around the 1st of October! Hoping for good news but trying not to get my hopes up too much! We started trying thinking it might take us a while, and I was feeling very casual about it at the start of the month. But as the month has gone on I’ve become so eager! I’ve done a few tests (because I didn’t know when I should test, I do now 😅) but they were negative of course.

Oh just to add also, when I was pregnant with my first we DTD at the very beginning of August and I must have had an implantation bleed because I thought it was my period. And then at the very beginning of September I went to the docs because I thought I had a water infection and he said I didn’t but asked if I might be pregnant. I said it’s possible and he did a test which came back negative! So I didn’t actually find out until my next missed period, by which point I was 7-8 weeks pregnant.

I never considered how torturous it is to actually actively try to conceive. I much prefer the surprise pregnancy method 😅

@Kyoshi it was the same to me haha. I went to the private doctor cause I thought I am having my period twice a month, so I thought it’s weird and need to check. When he asked can I be pregnant I said unlikely otherwise why I am having periods. Boom and pregnant nearly 8 weeks at the end of September 2018. Was a good shock as we had sex once 🤔😆and I travelled and did hiking like crazy not knowing I’m pregnant.
But now trying for a sibling a year or so and nothing. I was so naive it will happen straight away again. Still hopeful and trying to think positively.

I've been reading for a while, but never brave enough to post.
Im 30, we are TTC #1, had my first bfp on our second cycle but unfortunately recently miscarried at 6 weeks. Have had the bfn now so we can try again.
I have found both comfort and heartache reading your stories... I feel like a part of me died along with my baby so I can't even imagine how some of you ladies are coping with your own journeys...
Anyway, I am on CD4 and stopped bleeding so fingers crossed this is our lucky cycle.

I'm 6dpo and today had a weird feeling in my left side that was twinging and I have been really gassy and bloated! Hope this is a good sign. Also hoping my cycle isn't 36 days long again!!

Ive been training for my new job so I'm absolutely zonked.

@Capricorn8990 Literally just about to ask if anyone has experienced bloating as a symptom & then saw your comment!
I'm potentially 7/8dpo & my ibs has flared up worse than ever & I can't pinpoint a trigger for it and none of my medicine is working - I've been like this for 3 days now.
I feel awful & the fatigue is unreal. I've cut my holiday short to return home because of how awful I'm feeling.
Currently lying in bed with a hot water bottle hoping the heat will ease the bloat.

Thinking I may take a FRER in a few days since im due in a week.

TMI but I had loose stools from my ovulation till yesterday (12 DPO). No matter what I ate, and I actually ate quite healthy. And then last two evening I had upper belly aches and last night I was SO bloated, it was painful! Went two bed with no dinner…

My AF is due today, so far no signs of it coming. I
Had some cramping and acne in the last week but it’s gone today. Tested this morning - negative.
I won’t test till Monday, unless AF arrives before that of course.

CD 37 here I haven't tested since CD35 which was neg. No idea what's going on weirdly just wishing for AF now so I can get into next cycle I'm 8 days late

Ladies- I know I've been saying to you all I'm trying not to get ahead of myself but I'm lying in bed reading a book & whilst I'm reading it I feel a slight cramp & a 'wet' feeling.
I've ignored.
I've finished my book & went to the toilet before bed & I know this is probably tmi but I've wiped & I've came away with brown discharge.
My period isn't due for another week, I'm never early. I'm on CD27 & I've never had a 28 day cycle and I don't typically spot or cramp before a period.
I can't help but feel like excited & I know I'm definitely setting myself up for disappointment - gonna try and hold off until Sunday or Monday to take my FRER.

@Lianna93 oooh good luck!! Really hoping that's a good sign! I've been really bloated too but I can't really symptom spot this month because I have an awful cold!! 😭 It's knocked my bbt off and I can't sleep because I'm so bunged up. Maybe it's a good thing though, stopping me go too mad!

Good morning ladies, I’m probably only going to be on here for a few days then have to join the October bus, it’s been lovely reading your stories and generally reading the chit chat and it’s been so lovely to see the bfps, I’m 42 soon to be 43 in a few months, I have a ds who is 7 and we were trying for a number 2 I had a miscarriage in 2018 which devastated me and put me off sex, it was our 9th anniversary a few weeks ago and our son had his first sleepover at his friends we went out for a romantic dinner and had some champagne 🍾 afterwards and dtd I ovulated a day or two after and have been feeling nauseous for over a week, been having some vivid dreams, have turned down various takeaways as I’ve lost my appetite due to the nauseous, I think I wiped some brown blood on Thursday I was at work and had to rush to my shift, the day before I had a sharp feeling in the right side of my lower abdomen, I honestly don’t know what to think although I think I’m due Sunday or Monday, woke up today still feeling nauseous with that extra saliva feeling in my mouth but my hips are hurting aching like they would before a period I have endometriosis so this is normal for me, I’m too scared to test and want to wait for period to come or by some miracle not. I’m sorry this is soooo long

@LadyoftheWoods the 'bleed' has completely stopped. I had a dull ache most of the night, which has also stopped. Im still majorly bloated but my ibs is now going to the opposite side of things & I now need the loo constantly! 🙈😂
Aw no, that's rotten you've gotten a cold -
Dunno about anyone else but I haven't been sick with a cold since March last year, dreading getting one lol! Hopefully yours isn't too bad and not symptom spotting will end in a BFP for you! 🤞🏻x

@Lianna93 your symptoms sound promising though I have read that progesterone symptoms are very similar to pregnancy ones so I try my hardest not to associate any symptoms to pregnancy but it's so hard isn't it!! Xx

@Capricorn8990 I'm genuinely terrified that all this is an indication of an early period - which would definitely be out of the norm for me. I'm checking everytime I go to the loo & so far nothing else has came. I've got a lot of abdominal pain as well as a pinching feeling but it's hard to pinpoint what's my ibs & what's not.

The light bleed I had last night stopped & then around dinner time it started again & that's it now a full on bleed 😞
Means this has been the shortest cycle I've ever had at 26 days - when on average I'm 32 days. I've seen me skip months completely but I've never been early.
I'm so gutted.

@Lianna93 oh I'm so sorry to hear that 😞 that really sucks. I'm usually ~30 days but last month af arrived on cd27 so I understand what that feels like. Definitely look after yourself and have some me time. Xx

Second day of flashing smiley today. Hoping to dtd today as was out all day yesterday so we didn't manage to 👎🏽 hoping static smiley comes tomorrow 🤞🏽

@positiveovernegative thanks for asking. No, sometimes something plants in my mind and I can't even think anything else..it was bfn this morning so I guess I will join to the October bus...interesting that I'm not that emotional than the last couple of bfn cycles...just felt nothing, looks like I got use to it. I always had plan what we do differently in the next one but not now. I know I'm not out until af shows her ugly face, but all of my symptoms disappeared this morning, no sore boobs, no more discomfort belly feeling...nothing. Didn't tell my DH and I was even thinking to not call my clinic when my period start... probably this is just another deep point and I will shake it off very soon and see again the world with all of its wonderful things in it
