Grab your seats on the September bus (though I know there are a few of us still testing in August).

Absolutely everyone welcome - I'll attempt a list of tags for "reserved seats" but am guaranteed to have missed quite a few:

@mummytoolive

BFN for me this morning, still no AF
It might be just too early to detect HCG, as you said you have irregular cycles...are you charting BBT? Xx
mummytoolive · 03/09/2021 09:40

@Dobcaty I'm not but I'm going to start I think, I need to do some reading up on it
@Dobcaty I'm not but I'm going to start I think, I need to do some reading up on it
Before I charted I was worried every time if I ovulate or not and getting access for day21 blood test from my GP was really hard as they just classified us with an unexplained infertility and their case was closed as we are not eligible for NHS treatment. Since I'm charting (and checking cm and the cervix), I can see the pattern, and it gives me some certain and I have a better understanding with my fertility. It take some time sadly to find your own normal temp ribbon and can cause some anxiety (with temp drops after O) but it really helped me to see the whole picture. For example now I know we were missing the key days for BD as most women ovulate after 24-48 hours of the their LH surge, but for me is always the same day.
@hoola23 I hear that cold symptoms can be a sign of pregnancy.. here's to hoping!!

@Dobcaty I love your positive attitude and I've taken a leaf out of your book with your positivity. Thanks for sharing and I hope this month is a good month for you!
You just made my day, thank you 😘

Speccybibliophile · 03/09/2021 11:45

I need some help please... Have been cramping since Monday CD26 no sign of AF, until this morning when I had slightly blood-tinged mucus/discharge. I'm worried though now because I took an ibuprofen without thinking. Have run out of paracetamol so took it on autopilot because I'm struggling with a head cold, headache and sore throat. Panicking now that I've badly messed up 🥺

Speccybibliophile · 03/09/2021 12:06

@Lealu

Ladies, anyone any advice or info about avoiding saunas/hot tubs during tww? I’m going on a spa day with girlfriends - been planning it and looking forward to it for months. But am now worried that according to my app I will ovulate on that same day, or a day or so before. Would be really sad to miss our spa day and catching up with friends, but also don’t want to ruin my chances ttc this month. I know about avoiding saunas etc when pregnant, but not sure about in the tww? Thanks 😊
I'd be weary about raising your core body temperature but perhaps you could use the sauna for short bursts of time and make sure you don't overheat. You could also just make use of all the treatment/facilities minus the sauna. Sounds like a good chance to wind down, relax and have a catch up, which can only be a good thing.
mummytoolive · 03/09/2021 13:57

@Dobcaty Thankyou! I'm currently having broken sleep as DD is teething so I don't think it would be accurate for me just yet ☹️

theodora2146 · 03/09/2021 14:06

New here!!

35 and ttc baby 1 on CD5 so fingers crossed! I'm really nervous because of my age and I've not been the healthiest over the pandemic and drunk way more wine than I should have!

mrsmop21 · 03/09/2021 18:45

Hi all, I have had my BFP this morning at 11dpo!

MrsF13 · 03/09/2021 19:07

Congratulation @mrsmop21!! How are you feeling? :)
RKEE · 03/09/2021 19:07

Congratulations! Star @mrsmop21

purpleskyssssss · 03/09/2021 20:19

Congratulations @mrsmop21 brilliant news.

CD 5 here and just finishing AF, feeling positive about the month ahead, I have ordered 'taking charge of your fertility' which came today, I have read 2 chapters and feeling that the book is really going to help me in understanding my cycle fully, good luck to everyone waiting on there BFP and starting there fertile week 😬

Coco9910 · 03/09/2021 22:30

@mrsmop21 congratulations! 💕

Coco9910 · 04/09/2021 10:15

BFN for me this morning! I’m unsure on when AF is due, one app says Monday and another says Wednesday so I’ll just have to wait for it to arrive!

WantStickyBean · 04/09/2021 20:00

Congratulations @mrsmop21 that's great news!

I've heard good things about that book @purpleskyssssss

Hope everyone's doing ok

@Coco9910 same boats 😊 no idea when AF is due too! I'm cd 36 today what about you?

MrsBiddy · 04/09/2021 22:13

Hi 👋🏻
New here, getting used to the ttc lingo 😆
Ttc baby no.1 , pcos and on CD 16
I’m using OvuSense to help understand my cycle.
Taking Proceive Max, Metformin, folic, magnesium and omega 3
Anyone else here that has pcos 😞 trying to lose weight but struggling! 😑
Also does anyone find that the pressure sometimes gets to your other halves and can’t deliver the goods around ovulation?
Thnx 😌

storkstalk · 04/09/2021 23:34

@WantStickyBean thank you for setting this up and congratulations on your BFP!!!!

I’m CD9, and this will be our second month of TTC. Trying the speed meets egg method, found it quite exhausting last month Grin

storkstalk · 04/09/2021 23:35

@MrsBiddy Re the pressure, last month my DH did struggle to finish a couple of times as we were doing it on a schedule which I think he found a bit stressful. Trying to make it a little more normal this month but we’re still on a schedule really, just not talking about it so much

Coco9910 · 05/09/2021 00:38

@mummytoolive I’m CD34 (technically 35 now as it’s past midnight!) My cycles are usually about 31 days. Are yours usually regular? x

coconutlatte44 · 05/09/2021 04:07

@Speccybibliophile I had taken some ibuprofen when in very early pregnancy with my son and researched obsessively about it. You don't need to worry, particularly about a single pill. 🙂 Obviously don't make it a routine thing or go overboard but the evidence about it being damaging is very limited and may even be linked to weaknesses in the studies.

MrsBiddy · 05/09/2021 08:37

@storkstalk thank you, I might do the same and talk about it less.
Sometimes I think he thinks it’s doing it once and that will work 😂

mummytoolive · 05/09/2021 08:50

@Coco9910 I'm irregular but never normally go passed 40 days so I'm expecting AF to rear her head soon really. I've previously had operations on my ovaries for very large blood filled cysts and not sure I ovulate from both anymore.

Coco9910 · 05/09/2021 10:06

@mummytoolive the female body is very complicated isn’t it! Sending you lots of baby dust and hope you get your BFP soon! 💕

Anotherboy · 05/09/2021 12:27

Ahh got my bfp today!

Toot toot! The September bus is early...
