Getting pregnant while expressing

Hi I had a baby 6 months ago and I'm 37 and thinking I want to have another relatively soon if I can. I stopped breastfeeding about 1month ago but still express once a day. I've not had a period so far. Do I need to stop expressing completely to get my period and a chance of getting pregnant? I shoukd have paid attention more in biology class!! Thanks

Breastfeeding mimic menopause, and given your periods haven't come back, it may be very difficult or impossible for you to become pregnant right now. If you want to have another baby soon, I would stop expressing.
