Clear blue evap line

Hey ladies done a test yesterday morning and it was negative within the time frame but the evap live was very strong...
I done another test last night and got no evap line...
Done another test this morning, was negative in the time frame but now has a fair evap line, has anyone had evap lines this strong on a clear blue test?
Hope to get some light on this... i know they say you shouldn't check the test after 10 mins but it's interesting!

Middle test looks positive to me. Time to buy some different tests I think!

I think they are all evap lines, there was nothing at all within the time frame.... what throws me is the cross, it's a strong blue cross ! It looks too positive to be an evap but i am sure there was nothing within the time frame 😩

I've had the same on 2 tested last night negative, did another this morning negative I've come upstairs to put this morning's in the bin noticed a thick blue evap line on both test! What was your outcome?

Blue dye tests (especially these clear blue ones) are notorious for them at the moment. You’re best using pink dye, ideally first response early response

Same thing happened to me this morning, test showed positive two hours later.
I am very curious as I had some cramps a few days ago, but again maybe I am making things up in my mind.
I purchased first response and I will try first thing tomorrow.

Hey OP, I had this this month. 3! Really strong blue lines but all appeared after 10 mins, negative blood test and now I have my period. Sorry. Could be positive but I don't want you to get excited like I was :(

It's so horrible, I had these lines aswell and was convinced it was correct but it wasn't. I don't understand how they are still able to sell them when the lines come up that prominent

@Amy7912 unfortunately it was evaporation lines, i got it confirmed with blood tests :( either that or it was a chemical pregnancy... but id assume with a chemical pregnancy there would still be a little rise in hcg in the blood considering the blood test was taken the same day that i got a strong evap line... but nope, i think in all honesty its down to the amount of blue dye in the test, i think that effects how faint or strong the evaporation line would be x

@Agapita84 unfortunately for me it wasn't good news, I truly hope you have better luck!! I don't think i will be using clear blue (or any blue dye tests) in future, they cause too much disappointment :(

I am 1 day late for my period and too a clearblue digital countdown, it immediately showed two lines the control obviously and another faint line. Is it an evap line of it shows up straight away?

Oh no I. Sorry to hear that! It's horrible what we have to go through I got another evap line on a frer after the time limit too these evap lines are so evil!! Hope your ok

I will attach the evap line pics incase it helps anyone else in the future if that's ok even the frer had pink in it! 😤

Hi ladies, first time posting on here. Im just wanting some advice, I think I may have had implantation bleeding 5 days ago, it was around 24hrs of bleeding but no where near as heavy as my usual 3 day heavy period. I then took a early clear blue 2 days after the bleeding which is the test in the top of the photo and then tested again 4 days after bleeding which is bottom test in the photo. These strong lines didn’t appear within the 10 minute time frame however, which is what is throwing me. They started to appear visible around 15 minutes after taken, and looked like they do in the photos half an hour after testing. After lots of internet searches it looks as if they could be evap lines, but so cruel that they could sell tests that strong lines appear so soon after testing. Baring in mind the tests were still damp when the lines appeared, it’s so confusing haha! I know I shouldn’t look after 10 minutes Blush

Same thing happened two months ago, it was a false positive (evap line), I decided then to just wait for first day of missed period and try traditional non digital tests and if positive used clear blue then read before the ten minutes lapsed

@Agapita84 thanks so much for your reply. Yeah after reading so much into these clear blue tests online they seem absolutely notorious for giving out these strong evap lines shortly after the 10 minute time window is up. I know and understand they shouldn’t be read after that time but it’s so hard to put down when you’re clinging to hope of a line appearing praying this month is the one. The lines started to appear on mine within 14 minutes so it’s really disheartening when you read online about how many many people have been in the same situation. We’re gonna stick to pink dye tests only in the future. I’m waiting until the weekend to test again with a different brand, I was actually 3 days late for my period, but then had a small bleed for just over 24hrs which was much much lighter then my usual heavy period, which is what caused me to test. At least I hopefully should know either way by the weekend the true result! Thanks again for replying with your experience! X

Hi @StillJustWaiting no I wasn’t! It’s torture trying to work out if they’re evap lines or not… but I found the blue dye clear blue tests were definitely evaps as first response pink dye tests didn’t show any lines at all! Shocking really!

@Comso21 they are so bad for it, I've got it againnnnnn tested with FRER and totally negative :( its so frustrating, they are cruel tests .. if you read them after the time frame especially!!
Still waiting for my BFP, have you had any luck?! Xx

Yep that’s exactly how mine looked about 15 minutes after testing! It’s shocking! And no luck yet @StillJustWaiting :( we’ve only been trying for 10 months though so still early days really I suppose, just so upsetting when you get a glimpse of a line and then that’s ripped away from you! Fingers crossed for us both we get our positive soon! Xx

Same for me this month. Clearblue which looked positive after 2 hours, followed by clear blue which had an evap line after 25 mins, followed by a definite negative followed by a negative digital. 4 months of trying so far using the clearblue ovulation tests and seeing those evap lines is confusing and heart breaking. Losing faith in clear blue.

I have same but digital says not pregnant but could be too early i don't know as would only be 3 weeks 4 days, not sure if evap line tho

I've given up with clear blue now. Too much doubt and then disappointment. Sticking with a pink dye. Hope you get what you're hoping for though x

Having the same problem this week 🥲 first one took during the day and a line appeared after 5 minutes but was extremely faint so decided it was evap and left it, took another one the next morning and didn't see a line the first few minutes but was in a rush so didn't really time it and then I come home to this 🥴🤔

Try again in a couple of days. We're on month 4 using ovulation tests and I can't bring myself to test this month. Just going to wait and see if AF arrives x
