Hi all,

I want advice from anyone who's gone through fertility treatment.

My first meeting the consultant is on Thursday, where we will also be getting the results of the semen analysis.

I went to the GP a few months ago as taking ages to get pregnant and he did the routine ovulation tests - high prolactin and low progesterone, I start spotting 5DPO all the way to when AF arrives, 13DPO then a nice big bleed. So on that basis he referred me.

What should I expect? I'm so nervous 😩

I ovulate next week too, wondering if he will give me something for that? Or is that too fast?

I'm so anxious - also so anxious that somethings wrong with hubby's sperm. How treatable is it for the man? We can't do IVF either as where we live you have to pay tens of thousands for it, which we can't afford!!

Please give me advice 🙁

How low was your progesterone? I'm just challenging whether you're actually ovulating next week. Either way it's unlikely they'll give you something straight away as odds are they might try something like clomid first to induce stronger ovulation.

Depending on what's wrong with the SA it can certainly improve over the next 3 months if he makes sure his diet and lifestyle is good and takes supplements such as proxeed or similar.

I'd recommend you have a look in here to see what normally happens durign the first appointment: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/4125758-First-Fertility-Clinic-Appointment-Tomorrow?pg=1

Thanks for replying
I can't remember what my levels were as dr rang up with them ages ago when I was initially referred, but he said it did confirm ovulation but they were still low... (he took a test pre O and 7 days after - I think!) I use clear blue adv digi Opk's and they always says I ovulate, but I guess they could be wrong 😕

We've done so much to increase our odds, super healthy diets, exercise, pregnacare/wellmans supplements.... I don't think there's anything else we can do ourselves.

Hubby is 40, I was 30 2 days ago.
