Implantation Bleeding?

Hey Everyone!

Firstly can I let you know I am a sensitive soul so please be kind and respectful ☺️ I’m not actively TTC and am on the pill but have been considering coming off it anyway so a baby is not an issue at all. I also appreciate this isn’t as simple as line eyes and that you guys are Mums not doctors.

Due to various reasons including a new system at my doctors, I wasn’t able to get a new pill packet until the Wednesday and I was due to start it on the Monday. As soon as I got the packet I took Monday and Tuesdays pills and then that evening took Wednesdays pill. I thought nothing more of it. I also had unprotected sex on Thursday.

10 days after we had DTD I had peach coloured discharge and when I wiped when I went to the toilet I had pink discharge (I will try to attach a picture, sorry if it’s TMI). I don’t think it’s breakthrough bleeding because by this point I’ve taken a pill every day for 9 days, and I only get breakthrough if I’m late with more than 1 pill and that’s usually only a day or so after. It’s also usually brown not pink.

Do we think this could be implantation bleeding?

Do you recommend I take a pregnancy test closer to the time of my next bleed?

Thank you all for reading and for your kind answers ☺️

Looks like it could be an implantation bleed. Maybe do a cheapie test in a few days? X

While I think it's unlikely (ovulation would have happened very early in your cycle) it's not impossible. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do but wait and test in a couple of days.

That’s what I thought! But thinking about it, they say if you miss your pill for more than two days you should use back up contraception for a week… surely this is because you could then release an egg within this 7 days due to the drop in hormones? I’m not sure though! Definitely seems very unlikely though but I just can’t think of another explanation for the bleeding. Thank you so much for your answer though :)
