Too early to test???

I’m really itching to test! I’m either 11 dpo if I’m correct with my testing, or 10 dpo if the app predictions were right… af is also due in 2 days (apparently), I say apparently as last month it was all over the place, I’m usually like clockwork but I came on days early and it lasted less time than it usually would, the bleeding was very off too (very very light which isn’t like me!)

Anyway, I’m wondering how early is too early to test? I’m really trying to hold out and see if af actually comes but I’m dying to know… I ordered some frer last night and they should be here today so I obviously wouldn’t be testing until the morning, surely the day before I’m due isn’t too early?!

I got a positive test 4 days before my period due date with the first response pregnancy test

@applesandbananays I’m just a bit cautious as last month I got a very obvious positive on an frer and then obviously I started with this odd bleeding, I don’t want to be let down again!

@Chlo1995 the downside of testing early is that you will catch every chemical you might have. I'm sorry you experienced one xx

@Bundaberg84 this is the issue I have, my cramping and everything has been so different to how it usually is when I’m expecting af, my boobs have gotten slightly bigger and are way more sensitive than they usually are with af.

I just want to know, especially after the mixed signals I got last month x

Over a third if pregnant women will still test negative at 10dpo. 14dpo, only 10% will have a false negative.

I got faint BFP at 9dpo on FRER which got darker each day :)

@Amz6219 of course that's possible, but it depends on when implantation occures. Which can happen anywhere between 5dpo and 14dpo. So with implantation at 12dpo you won't get a BFP before 13dpo or 14dpo. Each pregnancy is different. My friend only tested positive at 16dpo and had a healthy pregnancy.

@Bundaberg84 I have given my experience only, of course there are all sorts of scenarios. Reading the room, I got the impression OP was keen to test but thinking it is too early - my experience suggests it isn't necessarily too early to test.

@Amz6219 sorry, my reply didn't read as I intended it. You're right of course, I just didn't want to OP to think a BFN now would suggest she's out xx

@Bundaberg84 Ah don't worry, I'm heavily pregnant/emotional so probably take things to heart and get defensive! :)

@Chlo1995 did you test again despite the bleeding last month? If you had a positive test it could have been breakthrough bleeding... could also have been a chemical though.

@Noodella18 yes I tested when I’d been bleeding a couple of days as it was driving me mad, it’s was very strange, my body felt different, the bleeding was different my usual pms symptoms weren’t even there, it’s possible it was a chemical and that what I keep thinking it was as it was so different to anything I’ve ever had x

Update:

Looks like af is here (a day early) although very very very light and cramps aren’t bad which isn’t typical for me but maybe this is how it is now after it was similar last month, who knows!

Going to just see if it progresses to full blown af!😔

@Chlo1995 sorry to hear - but wait out if AF gets stronger or if it disappears again.
