***Trigger warning*** poss MC? Advice needed

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'm not sure if I'm having a miscarriage or just a very heavy period. I have been TTC for a couple of months but no positive test yet. Period was late by 6 days but still negative tests (I did have my 2nd jab 3 weeks ago and my cycles have still been settling post depo so could be down to this).

However TMI but 3 days ago I started having a lot of dark brown discharge mixed with blood and a lot of black/brown clots, not huge but bigger than normal. I started bleeding properly yesterday but it seemed mixed with a clear looking discharge and again bits of clotting. Last night and this morning I've had very heavy bleeding, I've soaked through a super plus tampon in an hour and a big clot came through it, probably around the size of a 10p, though possibly a bit smaller. I didn't take any pictures stupidly, I just panicked. I've had awful cramping, feeling lightheaded etc but just thought I was having a heavy period, the clots have me wondering though.

Can anyone advise if this does sound like a MC and if so do I call the dr or just wait it out as I didn't ever have a positive test so can't be sure it is.

Typically.if it were a chemical pregnancy or early misscarriage then you would have gotten a positive test that then went fainter and disappeared. That you didnt suggests that this is just a messed up period, possibly due to vaccine or possibly random.

I would consider calling the doctor just cause that's a lot of bleeding. General rule is for a period if you go through a pad in under an hour, call a doc. Also call GP if any period lasts more than 10 days

In case you ever need to know (I hope you dont), GPs offer no care or intervention in the case of a miscarriage, so calling them is more to have it on your medical records than anything.

Hello! If it helps - after I had my second jab I had a really horribly heavy period. Lots of clots etc. I'm usually heavy ish but this was a lot more than usual for me. I have heard of other women experiencing similar too. So it may be that a similar thing had happened for you 😊

Hello! Please bare with me as this is CONFUSING!

so, a week before my period was due, I felt pregnant, I had the usual 8DPO cold, I was gagging, smells- all that blah! So I tested and got a BFN (negative test) …. My period was 1 or 2 days late, but then I got AF which lasted 3 days, and then spotting on the 4th day.

however!….. it’s now been 6 days since my period and since then I’ve been doing ovulation testing and the lines are going through the roof, so I thought that I’d just do a pregnancy test JUST incase, and BOOM I’m 1-2 weeks (4-5 doctors terms) ….. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE !?

im going to doctor for bloods tomorrow, as I’ve had a miscarriage before, but never a chemical. So I’ll keep doing tests….. any ideas though please ?! Xox
