Ovulation/implantation?!

I am due to ovulate tomorrow (the 24th) me and my other half had intercourse on the 20th, today I’ve started having cramping and bleeding, my periods are normally regular and I normally have a little cramping with ovulating but never bleeding could this be implantation this early?!

Unless your ovulation was earlier than you thought it's not likely. Implantation can happen as early as 5dpo, but mostly it's around 9dpo.

So let's say you ovulated on the 20th, that still makes you only 4dpo.

Yeah that’s true and my last period only began on the 11th. It’s so strange as I’ve woke up today and no bleeding so it was only yesterday with the cramps and brown bleeding. I spose only time will tell

Your last period was normal?

miaxxn · 24/08/2021 12:43

Yes it was fine from the 11th to the 16th x

I wish there was a tool that would allow us to look inside our bellies to see what's going on in there.

miaxxn · 24/08/2021 14:42

Me too! I spose I will just have a long 2 week wait! X

Seems like it.

You said you had intercourse the 20th, did you have before that as well in case you ovulated earlier?

miaxxn · 24/08/2021 14:58

No we didn’t it’s our first month of “just seeing what happens” so it’s only been just on the 20th x

Were you on the pill before?

miaxxn · 24/08/2021 15:36

I was on the patch, but came off about 3 months ago now and have had 2 normal cycles since

I see... But it's possible to have two normal cycles and one off. If you don't have a BFP this month, maybe you want to look into tracking your ovulation with an ovulation kit. I know it takes away from the 'let's see what happens' but at the same time you learn so much more about your body and it's a bit easier to understand what's going on.

I downloaded the Femometer app, just so I know when I should be ovulating roughly but yes I definitely think that will be the next move thank you x

You had the covid jab recently?
1st jab my period came 3 days early, 2nd jab 8 days late!

Bundaberg84 · 25/08/2021 09:10

@miaxxn I'm really happy I started tracking my ovulation, even if it's just to make sure your app is correct. But as your luteal phase is mostly the same length each month, you can also start to calculate it by yourself if you don't want the whole hassle.

miaxxn · 25/08/2021 17:27

@madeinthe80z yes I had my jab on Saturday morning! It was my second jab, to be honest the bleeding I had on Monday was rarely even bleeding I didn’t need a pad for it it was just on wipes and only for that day. When I had my first jab the bleeding was horrendous, I came off the patch as I’d not long started it and I didn’t know if it was because of the patch or the jab x

@Bundaberg84 oh that’s brilliant to know thank you! X
