What methods are you using to track fertility? Is everyone using an app and if so would you recommend? I've seen ads for Natural Cycles and Daysy, not sure where to start!

Natural cycles is much better at preventing than aiding conception from what I gather - their algorithms for spotting fertile week/ovulation aren't as good as the pure TTC apps.

Having said that - I use Fertility Friend to track my temperature with.

When I struggled reading cheap ovulation sticks I used to use femometer as it allows you to take pics of them and interprets them for you. It even does the same for mucus! Their BBT tracking is crap though Grin

Use opks to track when you ovulated. I used premom to enter these ( takes a pic and let’s you know when you’re at peak ready for ovulation)
I think fertility friend is the best app to use as a tracker so you can enter the data from your opks and you can also do bbt if you like and enter the data from their. BBT is tracking your temperature every morning using a special thermometer. It’s the best way to prove when you ovulated because your temperature goes up after ovulation
Don’t just use apps to track fertility based on your last period , it’s rare most women ovulate when those apps tell you. You need to track with opk and bbt ideally

Thanks both. Do i need a special thermometer or can i use the oral thermometer I already have?
Is BBT an app?

You need to order a basal thermometer. You then take your temp each morning - first thing , you can’t move , go to toilet etc as it affects the reading. You can plot the daily readings in most apps like fertility friends.
BBT tracking confirms you ovulated and what date and opks are good to show you that you are going to ovulate so you can start dtd. You can get most of the stuff you need off somewhere like amazon , just search basal thermometer, opks etc

What @Queenofsupreme said - I just have a £10 one from Amazon of the femometer brand
