How to know when you’re ready?

A bit of background: I am 23, my partner is almost 25. We’ve been together for 5 years, we own our home together, and are planning to move at the start of next year for a bigger place. We both have decent jobs, and money saved up. For all of these reasons, we’ve decided to start trying for a baby in the summer next year. This makes sense for us, and works with our timeline we’ve got planned.

However, I want to know, how do you know when you’re ready to start having kids? We’ve got this plan in our heads, but how do you know? How did you know when the right time was?

This. I was older when I was at the same stage as you, I was 28 - now have a 2 1/2 year old and a 3 month old.

It's wonderful, I'm very happy.

You don't! It's the single biggest decision you will ever make in your life.
We've got 2 kids and some days I still don't feel ready 😂
