Copper iud

I am on the copper iud. I got it inserted around 2 months ago. I'm meant to have had my period 1 week ago but its not arrived. I have brown discharge and on and off cramping. Ive took a pregnancy test but came back negative. Should I consult my doctor or is this normal? :/

I think it's probably normal. I've not had the copper coil but I had the Mirena and I was told my periods could be all over the place for a while or even stop completely (which mine did for years and it was glorious ). Maybe your body is still adjusting to the coil? Obvs if in doubt ask a gp. Hope it settles soon.
