Hi there, I am 5 DPO and am having some symptoms. I did a clear blue digital test which was negative. I wanted to take a look at the test strips to see if it was a faint positive and this was the result. What do you guys think?

I think 5DPO is crazily early to be testing or symptom spotting, in all honesty. You probably won’t have implanted or had enough time to produce HGC hormones. But there is no picture attached.

@Smellysocks1961 I also think its way to early to be testing and I'm sure all digital tests have two lines inside even if negative. I think they're also invalid once u open the case. Wait a few days longer and digitals usually take longer to show so maybe try a frer x

I would wait til 10dpo at least!

cookielove · 18/08/2021 20:31

All digitals have 2 lines in them.

There is no way you will get an accurate result at 5dpo, if you have to test early wait till 9dpo/10dpo!!

Boombadoom · 18/08/2021 20:37

The earliest I got a positive was 9dpo.

NO test will show positive at 5dpo. Even if you conceived you wouldnt have implanted yet, meaning you arent even pregnant yet. Also dont use digitals before your period would be due as they arent v senstivie

We’ve all been there @Smellysocks1961 - first few months I was utterly convinced I was pregnant. I think you just become hyper aware of symptoms. Don’t waste your digitals on testing early - they tend to be much less sensitive and won’t show positive until AF is due. If you want to test early then try First Response (FRER) - they should be quite reliable from about 11/12 DPO. x
