Tested too early???

Need some advice.

For the last few days I have been feeling quite tired, by boobs have been achy and I have have been peeing for England! Due to having a MMC and not having my period after the ERPC for 12 weeks, I am unsure of when my period is likely to arrive. I am at 28 days so far with no sight of AF on the horizon. I did a cleablue preg test this morning and got a BFN. Was it too early to test? I think I might have ovulated 10 days ago as I got cramps etc and we have been trying regularly since my last AF. Could I be pregnant, but not have enough hcG in my system for Clearblue to register. Would I be having symptoms without a BFP test?

Any advice would be appreciated

you can get a false negative - you might be too early to test - leave it a couple of days. the symptoms look good though, i also got a really itchy tummy before i tested with both my pregnancies and metallic taste

Its possible 4baby1, as you don't know when you would have ovulated. But try not to get your hopes up you may just have be really sensitive to your body just now, I would really advise you try not to do anymore tests for a while. I had a miscarriage and when we started trying again I tested all the time and I picked up a chemical pregnancy, which was actually really distressing when I turned out not to be pregnant after all. I fell preganant the following month, but I waited as long as I could before testing, and got a nice dark line. I know its frustrating and you just want to know, but it won't change the outcome.
Hope I'm not sounded doom and gloom, its just I can't tell you how many pregnancy tests I've used over the last six months, and its so upsetting when they end up negative, try and wait another week and test again then.
Good Luck

you could be - I got pg on or after day 18 and had a negative test for a few days after my period was due. I had a neg. test with a clearblue digital (both of them) and a few days later got a positive with a cheapo asda test.

Test again in a couple of days - v hard to wait I know. Agree the symptoms sound promising. Fingers crossed for you. Also test with early morning wee as the hormones will be more concentrated - if you can hold on that long (I need to go twice in the night at least!!)

Thanks for all your advice. I did use early morning wee, but I have also been waking in the night to go! I will leave it a week or so and if AF doesn't arrive, I'll test again. Katyjo, sorry to hear about your upset and I completely understand how you feel. I found out about my MMC at my 11 week scan, had an ERPC the next day, but it too 12 weeks for AF to come. I just get so frustrated with all the waiting and it seems so long.

I'll keep you all posted

Thanks again

I know very frustrating, good news is I'm 14 weeks pregnant now so it will happen, even if its not this time.#

Good luck

Thats brilliant news Katyjo about your pregnancy. Hope everything goes well for you. I'll let you know when things happen for me, either a BFP or AF arrives.

Thought I'd update you all. Well the test was correct, and AF arrived on Monday. I think I must just be hyper-sensitive to my body. Its almost Christmas so I am just going to relax and enjoy the festivities and hope that 2008 is my year for a BFP.

Hope you all have a great christmas

Now I am v. confused. Yesterday (day 13 of cycle) I experienced some brown discharge. No pain or anything and it seems to have only lasted one day. Do you think this is ovulation bleeding? (I have read about it on the web!) If so, is it a sign before ovulation, or just after? Any advice would be appreciated.
