Hi girls, getting a bit paranoid that the old thread will fill up and we'll lose each other so here's the next for when it's done :)

@xoJellyBean I’m just over 11 weeks now.
that must be difficult for you. It is hard to process. Have you decided if you’ll do ivf if the clomid doesn’t work?

Hi, hope you girls don't mind me popping in to say hello.

I am a mum of a beautiful boy (he's 2). He was a complete surprise. I was adamant no more kids after a difficult birth so I went on the pill after he was born but come off it quickly as it just doesn't agree with me.

I am just starting my ttc #2 journey but have very long cycles (last cycle was 87 days, currently CD58). Was tested for Pcos in my late teens but was negative.

I am currently taking conceive plus. Is there any other supplements that you guys recommend taking or trying to regulate.

I am also trying to track using opk but they are consistently in the "high" category according to the app. (The never only have the one line).

Any suggestions would be great. :)

Hey all!! Looong time. I’m still TTC, 3dpo on my 5th round I think. I’ve been given another 6 months of clomid so I’m feeling a bit more relaxed now. I do worry about how clomid makes me feel but if it means I get a baby then…💃🏻

@Irishgirl55 hey welcome, sorry for the really late reply. Haven’t been on here much :) you could maybe go back to your GP and ask to be tested for pcos again, sounds like you might have it with the long cycles and consistently high OPKs🤔 I could be wrong though.

@xoJellyBean thanks. Going to give it a few months and see if a little bit of weigh loss and some supplements do any good... but will definitely see the GP again.

good luck with the clomid! Fingers crossed for you!

Glad the month off has you feeling better @xoJellyBean

Have a lovely trip to Spain @Suki2020 and I hope all the extra scans are ok @Skl2021.

Not sure what's going on with me - my cycle got longer (50 days) because of stress and now I've had two periods since the end of July ???? though both very light. No idea where I am in my "cycle" now Hmm joys. Will have to think about pestering the doctors soon - though I felt really fobbed off by them when I tried to get in contact about the long cycle.

@xoJellyBean I’m 20weeks now. Hopefully having a break will help with the next round. Clomid is hard it made me emotional.

@JSS15 thank you. Do you track your cycles with OPK’s?

Report
JSS15 · 16/08/2022 09:05

Yes I do! Bought a big box of the easy@home ones for this month. I do find I can get a bit fixated on them though.

Whereabouts are you going in Spain?

Hi Girls - Just thought I would pop on and give a positive story to those that have long cycles. My cycles range anywhere from 87 to 140 days. I have been watching this tread for a bit getting some inspiration on how to tackle my cycles and get pregnant.

I last had a period in May. Just found out I am pregnant.

Good luck :)

Hey @xoJellyBean good to hear from you. Not pregnant here either! Currently 9 dpo for me.

Are you still taking clomid?

I had an ultrasound this month, still waiting to hear from my doctor but the sonographer said everything looked 'reassuringly normal'. Which is good, though I was hoping for some answers after having a 63 day cycle followed by a 47 day one! Currently on track for about 36/8 days though which is more normal for me. Seems I need to get my husband to chase up his request for a semen analysis!

@JSS15 hey. Af arrived yesterday and the monthly meltdown followed lol I’m stopping my clomid and we are deciding if we can keep going like this. I feel like a need my life back and to take control…

good to hear your ultrasound was normal and hope your cycle is a big shorter this month, or even better that you’re pregnant 🤞🏼 has your husband had a SA at all yet?

Report
JSS15 · 03/11/2022 07:50

Sorry to hear that @xoJellyBean. I’ve had a big temp drop this morning so expecting AF too. Each one is so hard isn’t it?

Totally know what you mean about needing your life back. A friend told me she is pregnant yesterday - the first one of my closer friends, instead of the people you just see announcing on Fb. It really made me realise that all the joy and excitement is just gone for me. Ttc is always on my mind and starting to encroach on my life too.

If I get AF today then it was 40 days this cycle. Still not great, i’m really surprised they didn’t find anything wrong tbh. My husband called up about an SA but we’ve not heard back yet. Sorry I can’t remember - did you get a reason for your long cycles?

Seriously considering just booking an appointment at a private clinic near us, but then I think about my friend and how they were probably trying for 6-8 months max and I get sad about losing excitement again. I don’t think I could do IVF but I would try letrozole or clomid if offered it.
