Day 29 positive opk

Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused and hoping someone might have answers! Ha

I've been doing opk and I ovulated on day 8, the lines got stronger then went faint again. However today is day 29, I've been having cramps and lots of watery/sticky cm. I took another opk and it's positive. I took a PT and it's negative (maybe just too early or am I actually ovulating??)

I've put a picture of said tests.

I had really positive opks at the end of the cycle when I got pregnant. I remember being really confused because a pregnancy test hadn't picked it up but the next day I got a BFP. Maybe yours could be the same?

Yea maybe? It's so confusing. I'm trying not to overthink it. I'll maybe wait till the end of the weekend and try test again on Monday, if I can wait that long!

Really? Your eyesight must be better than mine 🙈 I'm going to not try obsess over it and wait a few more days. So we don't think it's ovulation again??

That opk doesn't look positive though, and lh levels can rise as you approach your period. Doesn't mean you're not preggo, but I don't think that opk is telling you anything.

Should it be darker than the test line? I didn't realise lh levels rise as you reach your period, so thank you for that info! I think it was the strange cramping and CM as well, that's what made me do a opk in the first place.

No I haven't 🤣 I've been feeling really crappy over the weekend. Cramping, no energy, headache. Going to get more tests on Monday I think. I'm not due on until Friday though 🤷🏻‍♀️

You're so invested!! I love it! No I talked to my husband and we've decided to buy a test on Friday as that's when my period is due (according to the Flo app). I have kept taking opks though 😂 and they continue to have 2 lines.... Trying so hard to not overthink it. Promise once I take my test, I'll let you know?

@RegularFries yes I am totally invested 😬🤣 I also have tried the using OPks to see if it indicates pregnancy in previous month's! want to see if it works 🙈 I'm also currently in the tww and it's driving me mad and I want to test so bad but its way to early for me 🤦 need some positive news to keep me going 🙊🤞🤞 x

In my first pregnancy I had a positive opk then took a test and was confirmed positive so it can work but it's not definite! Best to use a test obviously but it's just too early! Fingers crossed for you too!! 🤞🏻

@RegularFries yeah for an opk to be positive the test line needs to be darker than the control line - none of those ones you've posted so far is positive, and two lines just shows you have some LH in your system, which is totally normal as LH levels fluctuate during your cycle. CD 8 would be pretty early to ovulate (not impossible tho!), are you sure it was positive then? Also, if it was pregnancy hormones causing your opk to be positive it would also show up on an hcg test, they are not more sensitive in that respect.

Hi yea I get that. I did write CD8, that was an accident, the writing beside it says 08/08 so I actually meant the 8th August. This was CD24. I just think CD29/30 is quite late to ovulate. I wasn't really asking if I was pregnant (I'll use a hgc test) I was asking advice as to why LH levels would be rising so late in my cycle.

My OPKs were positive at the end of my cycle and it turned out I was pregnant! I can also see a faint line on your pregnancy test. Everything crossed for you.

So I promised to update you. I tested Friday - BFN, tested yesterday (Monday), also BFN. Expecting AF to arrive today. My longest cycle, which was May, has been 39 days. Today is day 40! 🤦🏻‍♀️ No idea what's going on, usually my cycle is 33 days 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Maybe just keep testing until something happens 🤔 are you sure you weren't ovulating? Are the tests still possitive? I also started getting positive opks this cycle and found out I was pregnant! So it does work for some people x
