I have not had a period for about 12 weeks i was due to have the contraceptive injection at the end of sept, but didnt have it because the one previous to that i bled the whole time.
So i have now done 3 tests to see if i am pregnant but all negative.
Is it possible the hormone level they detect, hcg, is not very high in me, so the tests are not picking it up?
Would it be worth having a blood test?
cheers

It is possible, but tbh is prob unlikely, esp if you?ve been on depo (injections) as it can take years for this to come out of your system and for your cycles to return to normal.

I would wait another two weeks and do another test then, if stil negative then maybe go to the gp, and in the meantime would take precautions to ensure you don?t get pregnant if that?s not what you want. Would also be aware that not all hospitals will just do a blood test for pregnancy, the one here doesn?t, as I found out when I thought I was pg last year, so you may just have to wait and see iykwim.

Hi, i had only had the one injection, i decided not to continue due to the bleeding. prior to that i was using the merina for a year after having ds2. i really dont want anynore children. I feel silly asking if i could be pregnant, after going through it 2 times already, i should probably know, but pregnancys can be compltetly different!
Thanks for the advice though

Depo is evil! I have had hell with this. Not only did it give me pg symproms, it took 6 months for my AF to return, and I'm not convinced I was ovulating properly for a long time after this. One injection is all it takes. I only had one and an early booster when I bled for a month after it. It cost me a fortune in pg tests and I was paranoid about it for ages. This sounds exactly like I went through; if you feel like sifting - I even started a thread this time last year exactly like you have - is it pg or depo? It was depo .

I would advise going to your doctor for reassurance. It's a horrible, drawn-out waiting game. Never, ever again shall I have an injection!
