Hi ,

I’m looking really for some positivity ❤️

Like a lot on here fed up of the slightest sign , doing a test and seeing a negative result is a heartbreaking . Life with pcos and no periods has made conceiving so hard.

After lots of treatments , scans etc we’ve just been given various treatments the main one is Clomifene. Has anyone had any success stories with this , top tips etc . Just want to give this every possible chance this next 6 months whilst we are taking it .

I haven't had a period since November , the medication ha brought on a period and I'm on day 16 of my cycles just looking for some positive stories and advise .

Thank you in advance ❤️

Hi @Lucy140289 , I certainly feel your frustrations: I have been trying now for over a year and I have had no success either. My periods were every 32 to 47 days (so regular ish) but my AMH results (64pmol/L) indicated that I hadn't been releasing eggs this whole time... so I was diagnosed with PCOS and the assumption is that I am not ovulating.

I have been put on Metformin to help with cycle regularity, I'm on week 3 and just up'ed the dose to 1000mg per day (so far my symptoms have been minimal). But I started taking Conceive Plus Ovulation support a few months ago, and actually my cycles have become really regular by themselves (28 to 32 days)... although this is no guarantee that I'm ovulating or that I'm releasing mature eggs of course (thanks PCOS)!

I have collected my prescription of Clomid and intend to start the cycle after next (hopefully in September) as by then I will be on 1500mg of Metformin and hopefully any side effects will have settled.

I wondered if you have been put on Metformin alongside your Clomid? Sorry I don't have a BFP success story.... yet (fingers crossed)!

Hi @Lucy140289 @Kay00

I am currently 7dpo - it is my first month on 50mg Clomid and 1g Metformin. I'm 32 and DH and I have been trying for 2.5 years. We had a miscarriage November 2020 and a chemical before that.

I have a blood test today to check progesterone levels but I am fairly sure I ovulated (positive OPKs and clear, egg white CM galore! Haha!) I am so hoping I have conceived this month!! My breasts are sooooo sore, but I have read that Clomid can do that sometimes. We'll have to wait and see!
How are you both getting on? Wishing you all the luck in the world! Xx
