Can anyone tell me where I can buy one of these.
I have been to three Chemists today and they all looked at me as though I was mad.

Just to say that I just use a normal digital thermometer - only difference is that it only takes temp to 1 decimal point rather than 2, but hasn't stopped me being able to pinpoint ovulation. The main thing being it costs about a quarter of the price of a BBT! Seen the BBT one in a big Boots store, but it wasn't in stock the first time I looked!

Thanks for that. I have never tried to pin point Ovulation using this method. What does every one else use.

Boots .. but they come in expensive packs with loads of other stuff like ov. diaries .. about £20 or so

Hulababy · 08/11/2004 19:28

I got mine from Boots. It was £12.99 and came ina black folder, with the thermometer, and a guide to using it, and a heap of pages full of graph like paper - for recording on. Seemed expensive, but I couldn't find them on their own anywhere.

Hi yes the Boots one is the best, I paid £11.99 and came in a file with graphs. I don't recommend using a normal digital one. I did this one month alongside a BBT one and got conflicting results. The ov rise is so sensitive in some people it;s not worth the hassle. Have you tried Ebay or Boots online? I can also highly recommend www.fertilityfriend.com. Brilliant site with a downloadable handbook for tips on getting pg. Worked first month for me. You input your temps and it plots graphs for you and gives tips and ov days etc... very useful and chat rooms for support.

I got mine from Boots but on its own with no folders etc (I figure you don't need anything other than the thermometer if you are using fertility friend). Definately much more accurate info on the charts on ff if you use a proper bbt thermometer (ie with two decimal points) rather than a regular thermometer (with just one).

I also used Boots thermometer to great success!

I got one today. It came with loads of packaging which is a bit of a waste. At least now I can start temping properly. I am also going to start taking starflower oil, and Zinc supplements from tomorrow. ANy one else take these.?
