Positive test only after missed period?

Has anyone only had a positive test after their missed period?

AF due today, I've had some very mild cramping on and off this morning but nothing else.

@allthingssparkly did you test again today?

I'm in the same boat - 3 days later already (very unusual for me) although I've had some on and off cramping for the last 5 days. I took a pregnancy test earlier today - BFN. It's all very strange.

I didn't get a positive test until I was 10 days post AF. He's now 10.

@BabyFeet92 I'm going to test tonight, still no AF and mine are normally on time 😳

I had very mild cramping yesterday morning and some back ache at one side yesterday evening but that's about it x

I agree. Even if I'm not pregnant, I wish I could just understand what my body is doing .

@Blueuggboots wow that's incredible! I didn't think it could happen so late. Did you feel late AF was about to start in the time before you got your BFP?

@BabyFeet92, I was on holiday and periods usually like clockwork. Did one test when I came home (7 days after my period should have started) it was negative. Did one 3 days later and it was positive.
I'd had one day on the holiday where I had a hideous migraine and I did have sore boobs as well leading up to the positive test.

I'm between 2 and 8 days late now and had a positive on an IC today! Very faint though.

I've got some FRER coming tomorrow too.

I've taken an Asda pregnancy test this evening and that's negative but still no sign of my period 🤷‍♀️

How weird! I've taken a morrisons test today (pic below). I'm not entirely sure how late I am due to irregular periods though!

I don't know what's going on with me, I may re-test with FMU tomorrow.

I've had 2 positives today and a negative with clear blue but apparently clear blue need a high level of hormone.

Keep trying tests every couple of days though. You're not out until AF shows! Xx

Taken another Asda one this morning with FMU and its negative, still no AF.

I've read a lot online about FMU actually not being the best one to use. Try again this afternoon and see if there's a change xx

I've bought a First Response test I will use that later today today see what happens 🤞

If I had £10 (returned) for every test I wasted money on after AF was meant to arrive I’d have about £150 a month😂 I was a serial piss-on-a-sticker.

Every time my period was late I’d be absolutely convinced I was pregnant; but both times I’ve been pregnant I’ve gotten very early positive results.

Countdown to pregnancy days that 15DPO has a 93% chance of positive if your pregnant. That’s when I stopped testing if I was late. Because the likelihood of me being pregnant was slim. It can happen, but not really common. Save your money; start planning your next cycle. Good luck! (If that’s what you want )

Very bizarre, I keep having super mild cramping as well so it's driving me insane, especially when I'm used to having a period that's on time literally every month 😫
