Delayed ovulation

Ever since i had the pfizer jab in June, both my periods have been way off.
Also for the last 2 months I have ovulated on both cd 30 and not having AF turning up until cd 48...

Anyone in the same boat? Not sure what else to do! We have been trying since November

I'm currently experiencing similar which I'm presuming is linked to the Pfizer jab I had at the end of July. I've been using CB digital OPK and have had 5 days of high but no peak. I usually peak after 3 days and now I've ran out of tests! So disappointed and scared that it won't return to normal.

@MrsPotts19

I'm now debating whether I even want to get the second dose! 😢
I never used to have such a long cycle so it's rather annoying that this is the second month now...
if I don't fall pregnant this month I have seen online the conceive plus ovulation support which have got really good reviews so may give that a go! 🙈

@monkeyy97
I have had similar thoughts but have weighed it up and would rather have a few funny cycles than suffer from covid. Especially as I've heard that having covid has impacted on people's cycles and periods. Thanks for sharing the conceive plus recommendation. I might look into that if things have settled after my second dose.
Fingers crossed for you!

Evidence base is that cycles go back to normal afterwards. As others said, covid19 also affects cycles and covid19 can be a risk to a pregnancy

mummytoolive · 19/08/2021 13:53

Hey everyone just thought I'd share my experiences with the Pfizer.
I had my first one in June and my cycle was 7 days longer than normal. My July cycle was normal, ovulated when expected and became pregnant (unfortunately was a chemical pregnancy). Then had my second jab this cycle and should have ovulated at the beginning of the week but yet to ovulate so I imagine another long cycle due to the jab. Other than the length of my cycle no other side effects from it as I did actually fall pregnant the following month.

@mummytoolive

It made my period 10 days late ... I was so uncomfortable with cramps 😢

@monkeyy97 ahh
At least AF has arrived and you can get tracking again. All the best with ttc 🤞🏽

Coco9910 · 20/08/2021 14:34

Hi,

I feel like I’m experiencing this now. I had my first Pfizer jab before we were ttc and AF was a few days late but nothing too alarming. I had my 2nd dose almost 3 weeks ago on the last day of my last cycle. AF arrived the next day as predicted and I started tracking my ovulation last Friday like suggested and I’ve had nothing. I’m hoping it’s just delayed ovulation but waiting for it is almost as hard as the TTW 😂 x

monkeyy97 · 20/08/2021 14:42

@Coco9910

Oh gosh 🙈
I'm not due my second dose for a couple weeks yet... I was hoping by the second dose it wouldn't effect it! However still this month my period is super delayed I'm currently on CD42... however I can test tomorrow so I'm hoping for the best outcome 🤞🏻

@monkeyy97 I think everyone is different so hopefully your cycle will remain normal after your second! Are your cycles usually that long? Good luck for testing tomorrow!! Please keep us updated! x

Hi@mummytoolive, just wanna say I'm on the same boat. First period after the jab in July was really light and lasted longer, ovulated as expected in August, had my 2nd jab 10th Sep, period came the next day but it's cd15 now still no sign of ovulating 😫

mummytoolive · 23/09/2021 10:14

@Funkyblue123
Hey, my last cycle when I had my second jab was 38days long and felt like forever 🙈
CD 18 so far and no sign of ovulation 😭 another long month. Good luck to you xx

Hi there
I have never posted before and would appreciate some advice. I’m 48 and started skipping periods assumed I was now infertile got together with my new partner and have now had several positive pregnancy tests after what seemed to be implantation bleeding mid august. Following the spotting I had tiredness creep up on me then sleeping a lot then generally feeling pregnant nausea and I can feel 6 weeks later and see my very lower belly is slightly different but only I can tell - can I get pregnant at my age? Do I sound pregnant? I don’t want to break big news mistakenly or worse go into the drs surgery and get laughed at for taking a test at my age. I am passing urine frequently too just as I did with my eldest child who is now 16. Btw my partner is also the father of my 16 year old. Am I pregnant ? I suppose I just need to share this without judgment due to my age. I do feel self conscious about it.

lionsmum · 23/09/2021 10:43

I'm on the same boat OP, my cycles have been ALL over the place since my 2nd vaccine (AstraZeneca). Cycles have been 32, 52(!!!), 21 & now on CD39 waiting for AF🤦🏼‍♀️ never had cycles this all over the place in my life, so I feel your pain... wondering when it'll end

Hi mummytoolive, i dont know how to reply directly sorry! Just thought id add that after my first jab i also had a chemical pregnancy the cycle after, my gp advised not to have the second when ttc, so i waited 6 months but then it was going to affect my job, so preceeded to have the 2nd jab, then again cycle after another chemical pregnancy! I cant help but think it is directly linked!! Xx

I’m on my second cycle after my second Pfizer jab at the start of August and my apps have predicted ovulation this weekend but my ovulation tests are so faint so I definitely don’t think it’s happening this weekend. The attached picture is today’s test. Has anyone else experienced delayed ovulation on their second cycle after their jabs? I ovulated almost a week late last cycle and had a 36 day cycle (Usually about 31 day cycle), so hoping to ovulate soon x

Delayed ovulation
Chanel05 · 25/09/2021 20:26

I have had regular 26-29 day cycles. Had my first jab at the start of august and then my next cycle was 25 days. Currently on cd14 and should have ovulated or be really ovulating tomorrow or the next day but the lines on my opks are basically invisible, and clear blue showing low fertility.

Coco9910 · 26/09/2021 17:09

I’m in the same boat as you @Chanel05 . Should have ovulated on Friday and still getting really faint lines on OPK’s. I’m hoping they start to darken in the next day or 2. If I were to ovulate in 2 days like my app is now predicting, it would give me a 35 day cycle, when they are usually 31 days xx
