Endometrial polyp!

Currently undergoing IVF and my ET was cancelled last week due to an endometrial polyp being found on my scan.

Due to my age, I don’t have time on side so I’m wondering how long I have to wait until I can go back for the transfer.

Can anyone enlighten me? Google isn’t v helpful so I thought I’d ask some real people!

How soon can you get in for a removal? I had a polyp removed under a hysteroscopy with general anesthetic and recovery was fine and my cycle returned quickly. So I guess with a FET it would be how soon could your clinic fit you in?

My hysteroscopy waa a 3 month wait on the nhs but that was pre covid.

Good luck x

Hi @VenusStarr, thanks for replying. I had a rescan this morning (just to make sure it was a polyp, unfortunately it was!) so I haven’t even started to look into op dates yet. I think the wait with the NHS will be too long, especially with covid (I really can’t afford to wait too long as I’m mid forties) so may have to go private.

I just wonder how long I have to recover for before I can go for another ET.

Thank you x

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long @DarlingFell I was looking into a diagnostic hysteroscopy after my fresh ivf cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy but as I've had other losses, my recurrent mc specialist recommended an endometrio biopsy instead, which I'm doing now as a mock FET privately.

Do you have any frosties?

When I was looking, prices were around £2.5-3.5k. My recovery was within a few days, barely any bleeding or anything, so hope it doesn't delay you too much xx
