16 DPO, no AF, BFN

Am I out this month?! I believer I’m 16 DPO, all the right symptoms for either AF or pregnancy but nothing!

Has anyone tested negative at this point and gone on to have a BFP?

Are you certain about your ovulation day? At 16dpo I think you’d almost certainly have a BFP of you were pregnant. Is af late? Have you had a vaccine this month? That knocked my cycle back a day or two x

If I’m honest - no! I came off the mini pill on 6th July, had EWCM on the 19th/20th so I’m going from my CM as have no regular period to compare it to!

I’ve had sore boobs, a ‘full’ feeling, dizziness, sickness (the lot basically) since Sunday 25th July, so coming on 12 days since symptoms began and I’ve had nothing! No AF, 2x BFN (one this morning)
My cervix is still very high and closed (can’t tell if it’s soft or not) - feeling very confused! Just want an answer either way at this point 😞

OP it took two months for my first AF after the mini pill, takes a while for all the hormones to settle!

did you have PMS symptoms and no AF leading up to that 2 months? Maybe its normal to have all symptoms but no AF to start with? i just keep expecting something to happen and nothing!

@Bexxe
I had no AF whilst on the pill, and then when I came off it at the very end of Dec my first AF was 4th March. Then I had cycle lengths of 42 days, 38 days, 32 days, 34 days, so I still don't think my cycles are back to normal yet. This current cycle is my first TTC baby 2 so I came off the pill early as I knew it took a while to settle last time before TTC baby 1. My cycles used to be 28/29 days pre pregnancy and this is the first month off the pill that I think I've OV on day 14, so this may be a more 'normal' cycle length for me!

During those first two months off the pill I had lots of PMS symptoms with no clear pattern and frequent CM that was a bit like mucus plug. Googled it and it said that is normal for coming off mini pill!

Amazing thank you for this! I guess it really is just a long waiting game of not knowing what the hell is going on, going to send my anxiety through the roof! Wish they would explain this when recommending the pill, none of this was said to me I was told it makes no difference and you’ll be back to normal straight away, naughty really.

Ps - baby dust to you! Will have my fingers crossed for you xxx

@Bexxe I know, its a bit of a pain! I remember when I was picking up the pill one time at our walk in family planning clinic I mentioned to the woman that I would like to start TTC about a year after our wedding so when should I come off the pill. She just turned to me and said 'don't you'll worry about it, you'll find you spend half your life trying not to get pregnant and the other half trying to get pregnant' 🙈 some help!

You may luck out and get pregnant before your cycles settle, I think some people manage to straight away. Good luck!

As you’re just off the pill your cycles could be all over the place. With my EWCM I’d usually get it about 4 days before ovulating too (confirmed with sticks) If you’re in a rush I’d recommend the clearblue advanced ovulation sticks but you’d probably need to use quite a few with your cycles as they are at the moment. They’re fantastic though and we conceived second month on them :)
