TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

@Minster2012 hope the hair worked out OK and that the wedding went well.

Yesterday I had a full day of baby shite. First a christening, then visited my baby nieces and then went for the dinner with my pregnant friend. She was unbelievably negative about her pregnancy - saying everything has been terrible so far and it's been the worst pregnancy ever (it really hasn't - she has suffered a lot with her hips but you can't really say that's the worst pregnancy ever given what other women go through!) Not sure what's up with her but she doesn't seem to be enjoying it or even that excited about it which is a bit worrying. I'll keep talking to her anyway to try to see what's the matter. She won't accept help either so it's not easy.

@somatronic sounds like she could have prenatal depression. I suffered with it a little and it's not nice. Just try and keep her talking.

Alice has put on a bit of weight which is great so we are heading in the right direction!

@Vil10 I don't think I like your friends. This is why I don't have any, as I can't deal with shit like that. 🤣 It isn't long, no. In the grand scheme of things. But everything just seems to take forever and it all adds up.
@Somatronic I dunno. I've been trying to do all this for ages and I'd be grateful to be pregnant. But if I then suffered pain from it - I would still be moaning it was the worst pregnancy ever. Just one of those things? 🤷‍♀️

@Vil10 your friend sounds like she could do with a short, sharp slap. Sometimes the insensitive bullshit that comes out of people's mouths is incredible when it comes to infertility. It's even more concerning that she's a midwife! Where has her empathy gone?!

@Minster2012 did you manage to sort your hair 'mare in the end?

We spent the day with our friends and their kids yesterday, which was both really lovely and really hard. They commented on how good DH is with kids, so I explained all the IVF stuff and they were really supportive and understanding, which was nice. Managed a) not to cry when explaining the situation and b) not to cry when they said what a good dad DH would make. So a personal best on all fronts really!

Reeeally need to lose some weight though, back to WW online for me... For those who've done IVF: do they keep weighing you? I feel like I've been weighed at every damn appointment I've had so far and the fact my BMI is 28 is making me worry about things creeping up and then all treatments getting stopped 🙈

@bez91 I did google that and bought some but it lasted for like a minute as my legs were really sweaty haha 😅 Anovulatory cycles are so annoying!

@Vil10 hope you manage to sort it with your friend. I'm surprised being a midwife she doesn't know about testing.

@Somatronic sounds like she's struggling a bit and it can be hard as it does take it's toll on you.

I spent last night sat round the toilet 🤢 I ordered a coconut milk frappe in a cafe in London before we came home and I didn't even think at the time that I couldn't taste the coconut in it and as I became nauseous realised they gave me normal milk. I really hope this lactose intolerance goes when the baby comes as I felt sick as a dog last night and still not right today 😔

@Crazydoglady123 thanks lovely 😊 that sucks about your frappe though - might be worth contacting the cafe to complain because that's seriously bad that they did that.

@Juno231 maybe the people at the clinic are just looking at me like "she's a chunky lass, best make sure she's under 30 BMI!"?! Seriously been weighed every time - getting a bit paranoid! 😂🙈

@InkyPaper @Juno231 the inconsistencies crack me up. I was weighed the first time I went. That was it. I do worry they'll weigh me when I get to the ivf clinic, and I've read they mostly do. Must stop eating....... 🙈

@InkyPaper I think I was weighed when I first went in, but since then it’s only been done in the hospital during my last miscarriage (no idea why then!), and at my midwife appointment - turns out I’ve gained nearly 10kg in the last 18 months 🤦‍♀️

@paintfairy oh god 🙈 definitely need to get back on track with my diet then!!

@Sunbird24 🙈 I've got about 7kg to shift, to get back to where I was on my wedding day. But I'd need to lose 11kg to have a BMI of 25. However there's not a chance in hell I'd manage that, so I'd settle for it being under 27 😂🙈

Someone I went to school with just announced baby 2. Mixed with period symptoms for my AF that's due in about a week; it's just crushed me. I feel so hopeless. x

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time @polkadotpixie. I ended up having a D&C as body didn't realise it needed to miscarry, was pretty much 4 weeks between scan when they realised things were wrong and op.

Hope you sorted the hair @Minster2012! Shagging is a good reason for shit hair though! How was the wedding?

Thankyou so much for your support girls about my friend being shit with sympathy!! Frustrating because before she had her baby she was an amazing friend, couldn't fault her, and I completely understand her family is her priority as mine would be, but it's like since becoming a mother she's become so self centred and doesn't think about anyone!

I hope everyone is ok, ive tried catching up. I've been poorly and think I'm a bit life burnt out and just exhausted. Got my peak yesterday and we managed to DTD just! We were both wiped out.. really don't think we can tonight!

Next month we will do every other day - the first few days were for fun then I expected to ovulate Thursday not Saturday so we over did it 🤣🤣🤦🏽‍♀️

I’ve been a bit lax on the MN front this weekend so also trying to catch up with where everyone is at!
My rescan is tomorrow pm, so I’ve tried to have a really chilled weekend - manicure at a little local spa yesterday (same one I had my pre-transfer massage at and they remembered me) and an afternoon bath followed by a foot treatment and eye mask from my huge Birchbox stash today. WFH in the morning so I get a little bit of a lie-in, apart from potentially my last Lubion injection…

@Lexber I hope you feel better soon, get yourself an early night if you’re able, sounds like you’ve got sleep to catch up on.

@InkyPaper I do think the quite significant reduction in my amount of exercise, as well as a load of comfort eating during lockdown, caused most of my weight gain, rather than the hormone supplements. Whatever you can do in terms of healthy eating and burning calories can only be a good thing though, will help with the inevitable stress.

@Vil10 your friend does sound completely self-absorbed, but it’s probably just her and not something that happens to most first time mums! Just in your head, maybe visualise yourself giving her a slap or throwing something over her any time she says anything insensitive…

@Kirky658 well done on being let out, and to Alice for gaining weight, clever girl! Are you getting to visit now they haven’t got you chained to a hospital bed? Hopefully she’s home with you very soon

@Crazydoglady123 definitely do complain, they can’t be making mistakes like that when people have allergies or intolerances!

Also we have BIG news.. Alice is off all her monitoring now so we've been given a room like a hotel room at the hospital so we can get used to time together as a family! It's so cool and it's so lovely to be properly together at last 😍

@InkyPaper my bmi was 28.2 or something and it was on my notes to not get above the nhs threshold or they'd cease funding! I always just said I'm losing weight, not gaining don't worry and then wasn't weighed again I don't think. I'm tall and curvy so don't necessarily look overweight. Weirdly I've only put on 2lbs in the first trimester but I look obviously pregnant tho, very odd!
@Crazydoglady123 so sorry you were unwell, hope you're feeling better today?! Very dangerous of them to get that wrong!

The redoing was great a very long one and GUESS WHAT?? I was sat next to a pregnant (vegan) due on Xmas day (my due date) who I think found it a little strange when I went "oh wow congratulations, a busy Easter egg hunt then, he found the egg" oops. Probs not the right thing to say.

Anyway. Humph. Busy unpacking boxes today after spending the day moving yesterday. Well I did, DH did a Trang good impression of a statue then went to sleep at 8. Humph again. Men. CD8 here today. Guess I better start peeing on something
