TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

@Vil10 that's so tough. You know you don't have to organise the baby shower if you don't want to. I was on the verge of pulling out of organising my best friend's shower a few weeks ago when thankfully she decided that it was silly American shite and so a few of us are going for dinner instead. What a relief.

I'm sorry about your friend being insensitive. I have no idea why people think others (especially those trying to conceive) have an interest in their scan pics. They all look the exact same

Did you track down your bin in the end @Minster2012? Such a silly thing for anyone to take but major inconvenience for the person who's had it taken 😣

Any news on @lucyrp? I'm sure she was due in Aug, had a quick scroll back to see if I've missed it but couldn't see anything yet.

I keep swaying with trying again ever since that wedding and have had to take my thermometer out of the drawer and hide it at the bottom of a bag to make it even more inconvenient to reach so that I'm not tempted to start temping again! I know its just a wobble and will pass but giving up all the ttc malarkey is harder that dieting in a house full of chocolate biscuits 😂 I must say tho the headspace I've gained from not thinking about ttc (or rather not thinking about constantly failing at ttc is a better description) has been great and I feel like my time with DS has been even more enjoyable as I can give him my all without stressing with ttc thoughts at the back of my mind so it hasn't all been bad just the past few days of wobbling which I know I'll come thru the other side and get back on track again soon enough.

@paintfairy oh I forgot to say, he was obvs there for egg collection as needed his sperm 😂 so they're there for the important bits, I didn't really notice his absence at the baseline scans etc.

Thank god cos like @Juno231 I was going mad. The next door neighbour had it. Apparently she brought them in thinking they were hers (except they have 1 not 2?) but her son had already brought hers in 🤔quite how she then put them in her usual bin spot & didn't notice HER BIN WAS THERE I don't know. I call bullshit.

@Vil10 honestly some ppl. I guess after 12 is ok but I don't know who made up that stupid rule 🤣 I'm with you on the no sex in that time would be unusual and annoying for us too

@paintfairy if you can speak to ppl who have used clinic A then that's good or @InkyPaper too. If not then I'd go clinic B but I think the potential future cost does weigh a big factor. I did all my appointments alone including transfer & it was hard but we cope don't we. I think it depends how interested /invested the guys are in general. Mine wasn't at that point so it pushed us nearly to breaking point. Stronger now mind you.

@DKDK123 hide the thermometer and the biscuits! Did you do the walking?

@DKDK123 do you know what, it is like that isn't it. When you know you can't eat chocolate that's all you think about. Same with ttc! Nightmare.
@Minster2012 yes you are right. The person who used clinic A was really happy with them to be fair. I've been watching a virtual tour today that I found on their site. 🤣 Yeah no one accidentally has too many bins!

Due on Monday but DS1 was already over a week old by this point and the midwife was convinced I would have given birth earlier this time or around the same time 😩 had a few signs but nothing has happened so far so! Il keep you all updated x

@Vil10 do you have any friends that aren't pregnant? (Apart from us of course 😉)

@Minster2012 yeah your neighbours are full of BS. Maybe they're weighing you up 😆

@paintfairy I can't even see if what I wrote earlier posted (I don't think it did) but we went with Care for the fertility assessment, we'd use them again if we're no further along next year and pay them for the private MC investigations to improve our chances, I found them very good but I suppose that varies clinic to clinic as they're all over. I also took them up on free counselling which I thought was pretty good.

@bez91 useful to know! I think I'm swaying towards them to be honest. I've been checking out their YouTube videos. 🤣

@paintfairy I don't have any experience IVF wise with them as yet but I thought they seemed good and they have a f*ck so that's always nice 🙈

CARE was who I was gonna go with and I'd had a consultation and afc with them and found them good.

But got my ultrasound date through for first week of Sept so that's positive!

Fuckers. Did I tell you that he walked in clutching fresh eggs for us when I had an architect here...like ACTUALLY WALKED into my kitchen HAVING OPENED MY HUGE WOODEN GATE to get onto the drive (good at keeping dogs in, nosey neighbours not so much it seems) & saw another car there and STILL WALKED IN. I'm a bit worried this might be a chemical 😩 My 13dpo test today is lighter than my 11dpo one and my temp has dropped. I'm feeling pretty anxious 😭

@Somatronic I know, I was kinda contemplating not doing but the girl who was supposed to be is obviously in a worse situation than me and I couldn't let the girl who's shower it is have a rubbish time! Oh what a good save that was then!! Hahaha so true!! Especially at 9 weeks!!

@DKDK123 I mean I should've expected it but when we were talking about TTC I really didn't think it would get sent! She obviously has no idea! TTC will never fully leave your mind, you've put all this time and effort into it, and you wanted it so badly, but maybe this is a blessing in disguise, maybe it'll be your time when you aren't even thinking about it🤞🏼

@Vil10 & @Minster2012 Yes, I did do my original test in the afternoon, that's true. I'll try again this afternoon so it's a like for like comparison. Might need to take out another mortgage to pay for all these FRERs 😩

We’ve been talking, dh is thinking maybe a cp, something happened but didn’t go to plan, he is asking if any test would be worth it, we’ve decided to follow my plan, give it a rest this cycle, wait for the next period and then start again
