TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

The price of your bus pass is an embarrassing story please, doesn’t have to go be TTC related but can you beat breaking a guy’s banjo in a BJ or whilst DTD?! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

I did a cheapie at the same time @Justanothercyster and there wasn’t a hint. I haven’t got any more tests other than Digital Weeks ones (and they’re totally the cigar you smoke when you’ve already had a positive test aren’t they?! 🤣). I’ve ordered some more Amazon cheapies but I’m in a remote area so delivery is Tuesday, which is when AF is due according to my app. I’ve Googled it though and apparently these kinds of lines are common for evaps on blue dye tests.

Is it a paint refresh in the bathroom @larrythelizard? We’ve got glittery floral wallpaper in our living room which I can’t stand. Ive got zero confidence in the plaster underneath though so too scared to strip it. At our last house I peeled a bit of wallpaper on a whim and ended up having the whole hallway and landing reskimmed.

@GuessHowMuch I'm a bit like that with one of our walls, ive teased a bit of paper away & decided I'll leave it for now 🤣😬

@bez91 at the old house we lost our 240L for months, the next door neighbour swapped ours for a smaller one then didn't put the bigger one out for ages so I couldn't swap it back. I actually had to complain to the council. Honestly!! I shall be asking my new neighbours tomorrow if they've somehow stolen our 2 recycling bins?!

Here, randomly btw, in our district, when you have a baby you are entitled to another full 240L recycling bin. Silver linings to babies eh?! Despite them actually making more rubbish that you put in the non recycleable so I bloody early that extra bin 🤣

Safety update: came back from Plymouth yesterday morning, and spent some time in Portsmouth along the way, we are ok, we didn’t see any of that

3 miles nearer
DH can only come in for transfer. SA we are borderline distance as to whether he has to DH it at home. I would push not to do that though.
A person I know through horses used them via nhs 2 years ago, and it worked (my age).
Think the wait time is about 4 weeks atm.
Webinar was generic as they have several clinics. So you aren't seeing your dr/clinic to get a feel.

Clinic B
3 miles further
DH can come in for most things and SA done there.
They have zero wait time atm (but then I'm not in an immediate rush).
Very expensive (probably most expensive outside London) which although isn't a factor now, it might be if the nhs round didn't work.
Better stats than clinic A for my age group, but the other ages are all really close, to be fair.
I fancied the webinar consultant 🤣 and it was all much more specific, as they only have a clinic here.

I think what's made it hard is the lack of open days where you can go look. I think you would know then. I've read a billion reviews and most are good, but both have odd horror stories. 🤷‍♀️ So one day I decide yep, I'll pick this. And the next I'm like- erm, no the other! 🤣

I know I have gone a big bathroom crazy @Minster2012 - jury's still out on the latest one, unsure if it's going to look good when finished or like an 8 year old did it. Can always repaint if I don't like it!

I think option B @paintfairy - having DH there has to make the extra 3 mile drive worth it so that he feels involved and you have a friendly hand to hold. Also hot dr always good!

@paintfairy I guess once you've done all your research, if there's no clear winner you just have to go with your gut. Clinic A sounds similar to the one we picked in the end - although I didn't know the wait times of the ones we could go to.

@InkyPaper probably saying what clinic A is won't out me, as there are several. Its a Care one.

@paintfairy do you get one round? I would prob say it's really good to have DH with you so you don't feel disconnected (v easy) & they understand it more but I appreciate the cost for potential future might be an option (even for a sibling?)

@Minster2012 yes you get 1 round. That's it. Both allow DH for pregnancy scans and transfer. But one allows nothing more than that.

Tough choices, I don't think I can help you pick! 🙈 I did my appointments alone as it was still restrictions, dh came in for transfer only and then the viability scan. I didn't mind going on my own to the scans but it's a personal choice.

@becarefuloutthere I don't mind going alone for the earlier scans to be honest. Was the collection i was unsure about. The closer clinic does have better genetic testing from what I can work out. Aarrgghhh. 🤣 I'll never decide.

How was your ivf? Oh I don't know, it took me 12 years to pick one by which time I was off and past it. 🤣🤣🤣

@paintfairy ooo that's tough, if it was me I'd go with the one where my OH could come to majority of the stuff, mainly because I'm a wuss with needles and things and would need him there to hold my hand😂 oh and so he'd be involved I guess😂 whatever you choose will be the right decision for you both though lovely x

Well pregnant friend no.645 (slight exaggeration), the one who told me a few weeks ago she was 8 weeks with her second, and then blurted out to someone else "no we weren't trying", also the one who got pregnant straight after coming off the pill with her first, she was one of the first people I confided in with my TTC journey as she's a midwife and thought she'd be compassionate, HA! I messaged her yesterday as I knew it was getting close to 12 weeks so was just checking how she was, she replied saying everything is good and asked how my bloods went, I replied and said I just don't think Im ready for the long process, in which she replied "just think positive, it might not take long at all with tests etc" she obviously knows shite all, and then "oh here's my baby at 9 weeks" sent through a scan pic, thanks dick head, I mean I should've expected it with asking how she was, but I really didn't need to see the scan, safe to say I just replied "aw look at the little bean", she replied and I read and ignored!!

Anyway happier note, I have my nails today for the first time in forever then my sister and her OH are cooking us a meal in their new house and then I'm getting a blow dry tomorrow morning before the hectic day and sorting the baby shower!

Something I'm not happy with though, we haven't had sex since Sunday!!! OH has a trapped nerve in the top of his back/bottom of his neck, twisted his knee and shoulder at MMA so literally every position he was like ah no, he seemed a bit better this morning though so hoping for a few this weekend to make up for the lack of it🍆
