TTC Bus 46 - where we're all off on our holidays (let's hope that means more BFPs - rubbish results for July!)

Mad scramble from the opposite side of the country to where I normally live to keep the bus running as @minster2012 still has connectivity issues. I'm on holiday in Suffolk with only limited signal so very likely to have missed people, particularly any newbies - it's not personal, I'm very sorry and in exchange I won't charge you for the ticket!

Here is the bus where anything goes, and chat isn’t just TTC it’s anything. Ranting very much encouraged to her things off your (are they sore boobs?!) chest. The last bus had loads of work promotions too & we’ve still got interviews so hopefully it’s a lucky bus in more ways than just making babies...let's hope this one has more BFPs and more house luck!

We are here to help and support each other & anything goes. We’ve had losses, heartache & some super fertile short ride passengers so welcome all.

Well done for that @Vil10 it winds me up too even though I got lucky. There's been a few first time posters on here who've put up their bfp and then buggered off, not sensitive at all. Glad you said something.

Holiday from hell is still ongoing, I'm sticking it out. The weather has been a bit better which helps and I think my exhaustion hit and I actually got a decent sleep last night 😴 I've asked if we can leave around Thursday though as I'm missing my bathroom and bed!

The dog is doing fine though, we've been watching him like a hawk! At least he's enjoying himself now 😂

I'm afraid I don't really have an embarrassing story @Franklydear, only that I'm a midwife and I've had my care transferred to the hospital I work at so I can pester the doctors lol, but also means that I work alongside the doctors who did my hycosy which is a little awkward!

How do you lose a pot of jizz?! Imagine coming across that @Somatronic!

@Bookbug92 welcome, I'm a relatively new pregnant member through ivf but been on this bus since last year. Ttc for 20 months before intervention. That is a touch awks working alongside docs that did your hycosy! 🙈 remind me, are you ttc for your first or second? Must be tough being a midwife whilst ttc.

As wasn't keen on waiting for a whole month! Still no date for ultrasound, looked into getting it done privately but was quoted nearly £400 for a 'gynaecological' pelvis scan rather than a umm not gynae pelvis scan? I mean, in a woman; how can they ignore the gynaecological anatomy exactly? 🤨

I'm not keen to start spending money until we potentially need to, but really would love to know why I'm spotting. OH did say we could if I wanted to pay but just feels a bit, not sure what the word is.

@Justanothercyster such a gorgeous pup; cute as a button nose! I’ve just spent half an hour trying to get a tablet into our six month old pup - ate half a ton of cheese and finally the tablet.

Can I ask if anyone has any book recommendations please? I’m stuck in a rut with reading; it helps me sleep but I can’t get into anything at the moment (and then end up finishing the internet at 1am 🙄).

What a day, well, the car broke down in the morning, luckily the rac could fix it roadside, on our merry way we went, we came back to dinner to find Nando’s closed, at 7.30, so we went to zizzis, that has the most incompetent waitresses in the world and puts chorizo in every dish, not an exotic ingredient for me, a bit of pink tingue on cm today but nothing else change

@GuessHowMuch what kind of books do you normally enjoy? Eleanor Oliphant is really good but perhaps you've already read it. Another really good book was one with a pompous name but don't let it discourage you - the heart's invisible furies. I couldn't put it down!

@bez91 well there's shingles missing and def at least three different places we have up place buckets when it rains 😅.

@GuessHowMuch I don't read much but I really like the Diane Chamberlain books.

@juno231 sorry to hear about the roof, what a ballache. My DH re pointed our patio a couple of weeks ago and really struggled to buy and mortar as there's a shortage of sand!

Seeing midwife today. Parents and DH are a bit worried as I've had a headache for a couple days that won't go away, fatigue, swollen ankles and feet and just generally feeling unwell. Mum had pre eclampsia so I will be mentioning to the midwife for sure today 😔

Morning ladies!

Sorry had a full on day yesterday running around (without running so limping round!) 3.5 hours at the community hospital and they say they think torn miniscus which should be better than ACL and mean just physio which is hood as don't want an operation to stop TTC.

Anyway, then got back to meet architect which was great then a village meeting about an event I'm organising for sep.

Oh and today started at 6 with DS running in watching daddy leave then running downstairs (whilst I was starting to put leg brace on) and ran back upstairs EATING RAW BACON. I have a feral child. Need fridge lock. STAT.

Anyways ladies seems we are all having fun & games!

@Juno231 I was going to ask you how your Reno was going, everything is a waiting list atm and a leaking roof isn't great for winter 😬also raging about the peony tree. My DH wants to cut down a magnolia tree & I won't let him he also doesn't have a clue, and you know a big house project deserves a baby deadline

@GuessHowMuch haha we use yoghurt as our secret weapon! Put the tablet on top is the trick.
Books: Hamnet was gripping, Pachinko by Min Jin Lee is my fave, Memoirs of a Geisha is always my go to to get me out of a rut too x

@Juno231 ahh shit, my only recommendation to resolve it temporarily is to find someone who would be willing to do the spot repairs off crawlers. I mean no reputable roofer will but it might buy you a bit more time until the extension gets sorted.

@Minster2012 what a morning 😂 the leg brace sounds hard work, I hope it helps out sounds mega painful! Yes cousins fiancé got in touch, she has a rescan tomorrow so will find out. She was in bits on Saturday, so I drunkly consoled her 🙈really hope everything is ok for them. She just keeps apologising to me because she knows of our MCs now. I've told her there's no such thing as "just one" if that what it ends up being.

@bez91 not really. The dog has taken to prancing round from 4am every morning (been a few weeks now) and to top it off he's been sick everywhere in the night. DH was first down and proceeded to shout about it. Its not looking promising. 🤣

Maybe I painted too dark a picture of yesterday, the breakdown was a best case scenario really, it set us back like an hour, I had images of a 3 hour wait in a service car park in my head, the waitress, well first she brought the wrong drinks, she fix it, then another tables drinks, then the food took long because it was packed from Nando’s being closed, then the ice cream took a really long time to come after finishing coffee too, we didn’t tip, not a penny, whole time there an hour and a half, we are normally only about 40 min in any restaurant, thank god for Netflix and headphones

Ds wanted to go back to the hotel straight after the breakdown, about 15 min in, but manage to rescue the day, spotting? What spotting! You’re spotting....

Hey ladies, sorry for not being on yesterday I was rushing round trying to get the house clean and sorted for today!! I got too obsessed, the bath mat was stressing me out I wanted to move it but OH was saying I was being ridiculous🙄😂 anyway the pictures are being taken at 4 today so gave OH strict instructions when he comes in from work to take his boots off at the door and put the dogs in the garden through the back gate and keep them there until the pictures are done!!

Well I should be in Greece right now, so obviously gutted, but OH mentioned last night about booking a last minute trip to Croatia for Monday the 30th for 5 nights!! We need to check what the requirements are with testing etc but hoping we find something! If not we thought about maybe either just getting away for a few days to Edinburgh or doing a few date nights!

@Franklydear I always get wound up about shit waitresses too, I always try and emphasise because I was one for years whilst at school but it really isn't a hard job, it's the worst when they have a face on and look like they can't be bothered being there!!

@Vil10 he's def a character, others have said "delightful handful!" All correct! A last minute trip seems just what you need hopefully your house will be on the market by then and have lots of interest 🤞🏻it's better to be obsessive than lax
