Withdrawal bleed

Hi everyone, I've just signed up! Hubby and I got married almost 5 weeks ago, and I came off the pill (after 13 years) on 29 June as we want to start trying for a baby asap (I am 32, my husband is 38).

I know I am majorly premature to be worrying, but I would have expected a withdrawal bleed by now. Did it take anyone else a long time to get theirs? Everything I try googling seems to talk about irregular/missing periods rather than the withdrawal bleed itself. I keep thinking I see some ovulation/pregnancy signs (egg whitey discharge last week followed by painful cramping one day, and then this week by sore tender nipples and darker areolas with little spots around them) but not sure if I am looking for signs that aren't really there. I've taken a pregnancy test this morning, which was negative - but I'm aware it might still be too early to be sure.

Basically, as someone who has never tried for a baby before, I'm just after some guidance on what to expect immediately after stopping the pill - especially after a long time. I've been on it since I was 18 - I've no idea what my 'normal' cycle should be like, and all my internet readings seem to assume you will have this insight. Have any of you not had a withdrawal bleed (or a very delayed one) and then gone on to have a normal healthy cycle (and hopefully then a pregnancy!)? Do you think the symptoms I have experienced nod towards pregnancy, or maybe just some side-effects of coming off the pill?

Thanks!

Hey! I was on the pill for a good 13+ years. I took my last pill on April 11th and got withdrawal bleed 2 days later as usual, counted that as CD1 and 31 days later (May 14th) I got my first real period. We had been using condoms that month so I could see how my cycle settled. I ovulated on day 19 of that cycle and fell pregnant first try. I sadly miscarried but I feel positive my cycles returned almost perfectly after so many years on the pill. Didn't conceive this month so now onto cycle #2 since our loss.

Good luck with your TTC journey Thanks

@laydeedaisy There is every chance you could be pregnant though.. you may have ovulated later than the typical CD14 and therefore might be too early to test!
