Trying to conceive

Hi everyone. Sorry I'm new to this

Myself and my boyfriend are trying for a baby.

We had unprotected sex on the 16th of July ( 4 days after my period)

Then again on the 24th ( 4 days before I'm due to ovulate )

Again on the 26th ( gone midnight so more like the 27th )

I'm due to ovulate on the 28th ( today )

What are my chances on becoming pregnant this month? He works away, so we really are struggling but this is the first month of trying

The best days for conception are the day before ovulation day, ovulation day itself and 2 days before.

Keep in mind that even if things are timed perfectly, you'll get pregnant only about 25-30% of the time. its totally normal to take up to a year to conceive.

Okay thank you, my periods are quite irregular as it is so whether this is actually my ovulation day who knows 😣 kind of a guessing game

Me too @cas20. In that case you have two options:

1. the non techy way. Have sex every 2 days from 7 days after your period starts until your period next appears. Means you'll hit those good days. But might be hard if your BF is away a lot

2. use basal body temps to accurately predict ovulation. Fertility friend is a good app for this. Temps must be taken as soon as you wake up, at approx the same time. So this is hard if you sleep poorly, work shifts etc.

I had sex 4 days, 2 days and 1 day before ovulation and conceived :) I’m sure you have a good chance although it is rare to fall first month so don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t work out!

When did you first take your pregnancy test? I am really tired, and have been feeling exhausted for the past 2 days even with the same amount of sleep so I'm a bit like maybe this is a sign but I don't know haha!

@cas20 if you have just ovulated, then it is not possible to have symptoms of pregnancy yet! Test at 12 days or more after ovulation

@cas20 I took the one step cheapies daily and when I got a faint line I then used the frer that was day 12 :) I’m now 19.5 weeks !
