Ttc after miscarriage

So. Miscarriage confirmed today. I’m not in a rush to ttc again but this unexpected loss has shaken me. Now worried about miscarrying again, not falling pregnant etc. and wondering if we should ttc sooner rather than later.

Can anyone share experiences about ttc after miscarriage?

Sorry for your loss Thanks.

I had a mmc in April 2019 and i fell pregnant again in December 2019. It was mentally hard, I'm not going to lie and when I was pregnant I was worried every day but my daughter was worth every pang of anxiety and sadness.

I read a lot that you're more fertile after a mc. This isn't scientifically true and it gave me false hope and put more stress on myself. I found it hard to know that I was back to the potential 12 months to conceive timescale again.

I had 3 MC, 1 MMc and 2 MC. I fell pregnant with DS the month after the 3rd MC, I didnt do anything different and he stuck around 🤞😭❤ go for it, FX for you x

I had a MC at 6 weeks back in 2012 (confirmed at 8 weeks), then conceived straight away - that pregnancy made me feel so ill in the first trimester that I never felt unsure about things. Decided to TTC this year for DC3, fell pregnant really quickly but discovered MMC dating 9/10 weeks at the 12 week scan. We're now back to TTC only 4 weeks later, no pressure as a period would be helpful for working out dates, but I'd like to see if we can conceive another "strong" post-MC pregnancy 🤞

Sorry for your loss @Houserenoqueen, FWIW I think the right time is when you feel ready and that's going to be very personal Thanks

Thanks everyone for sharing experiences. I think we’ll wait until the end of the year and try again. For now I’m going to throw myself into living life :)

MC today for me...7 weeks bang on. Passed sac earlier and the bleeding...I never expected it to happen to me I suppose, as awful as that sounds. 1 in 4...but I won't be that 1 is the way I thought. All I want to do is forget about it and get pregnant again! I'm so sorry for your loss, this is hard x

Sorry for everyone's losses. 💖💜
I miscarried 5 weeks ago, was 9 weeks and had had bleeding on and off throughout. Early scan at 7 weeks confirmed a sac but nothing inside so it was a waiting game, very sad and painful, but I felt the need to just get straight back into it and will try again this month as soon as AF buggers off. Doesn't seem real tbh, I hate the waiting , no advice for the OP, just stay positive, give yourself time to rest and baby dust to everyone trying. Xx

@Trinxsy and @CameraCoffeeCrochet sorry to hear you’re going through this too. I never thought I’d be the 1 in 4 either. I’ve actually suffered neonatal death of my oldest child too, so a whole lot of crap!
I’m almost to scared to ttc again. What if it happens again. Arg!

I'm a bit scared too, I know I will worry it will happen again but I feel like my time is running out due to being older so will just keep ttc and push through the worries. I'ts good to have a bit of a life and try to forget 'stuff'
I'm also trying to get a bit fitter at the moment, I climbed Snowdon and have lost a few pounds. Fingers crossed for us all.
