Long cycles TTC

My cycles are really long, around 39-42 days, which means I usually have to wait about 4 weeks every cycle for ovulation instead of 2. It's starting to annoy me having to wait so long each time. Is anyone else the same? Is there anything I can do to shorten my cycles? It's depressing thinking that I only have 8 or 9 chances to conceive a year instead of 12-13.

I'm the same and feel your pain. My cycles were between 35-40 days then I had a MMC in January and since then they are between 50-60 days 😩 I had a chemical last cycle and currently on cycle day 48 😢 I have heard some ladies being put on metaformin? To regulate their cycles so I think I'm going to wait for af and then book a gp appointment to request some help.

Yeah my cycles have always been long but they used to be much more irregular. Since having my dd they've been fairly consistent, before that they could be anywhere from 35-65 days! I was really lucky to conceive my dd quite quickly, I was so surprised. I think it's going to be harder this time around.

I know it's 6 months trying before you go to the Dr, does anyone know is it still 6 months if you only have 3 or 4 cycles in that time?
