Hi Ladies....
I cant believe i am actually posting this but this morning we got our BFP after 2 Miscarriages.
I am absolutely shocked and cant believe it... did anybody else feel this way?
We're not telling anybody after our history so just needed to share with somone...
Its obviously still very early and i somehow need to find a way to keep calm but think im in for a worrying few months. If anyone has any tips please let me know. 🌈

I now have an 8 month old little boy after having two miscarriages in 2019.

Hoping that the next few months go smoothly for you, congratulations on your BFP.

For myself, I was really nervous the first trimester, felt better after each scan we had and felt much less stressed once I started feeling him move.

Easier said than done but try to relax, know that worrying is normal and just try to hang tight for the next couple of months.

I'm now in my second trimester having suffered 2 miscarriages in the last 9 months. We were very anxious initially but once we'd had an early scan and seen a heartbeat we started to relax and I'm just about feeling confident that everything will be OK now.

Try to enjoy it as much as you can OP. Easier said than done I know. Congratulations!

@IWantT0BreakFree
Thanks so much for your reply.
Sorry for your losses but Congratulations on your pregnancy.
Its reassuring to know you now feel comfortable.
Im worried at every little twinge atm.
Im wishing the weeks away.
Did anybody have any extra scans or anything with your previous losses?
Before my BFP i had been referred for some tests as im 35 and have had 2 consecutive losses in the last 10months, the consultant put me on asprin daily and im waiting for an appt for bloods and a scan. I've read alot about people being prescribed progesterone so thought i would ask my GP about it.

I had extra scans for reassurance.

I had scans at 8/10/13/16/20 and 32 weeks.

Definitely made me feel better.

RainbowSoph35 · 29/07/2021 06:34

@Montii did you arrange them privately or did your gp/midwife sort them for you?

Not too sure what country you are in but I’m in Australia, my midwife arranged most of them. The 8 week was a dating scan, 10 weeks was with the NIPT test, 13 weeks for the nuchal translucency scan, 16 weeks was private just for reassurance, 20 week anatomy and then 32 weeks was because there was a slight issue picked up with the baby’s kidneys at 20 weeks that they wanted to check.

@Montii

I have spoken to my GP and Consultant today andthey have been prescribed Progesterone Pessaries until 20weeks and ive been booked in for an early scan at 7 weeks. I feel like im doing everything i can, So its just a waiting game now 🤞

I had 2 miscarriages (fairly early, discovered in a scan around 8-10 weeks) and then a year later a successful pregnancy at age 38 (low dose aspirin but nothing else). The hardest thing I found was never really relaxing into the pregnancy as I’d lost that assumption that of course everything would be ok. My following pregnancy turned out to be identical twins so where I might have started to relax a bit suddenly I was high risk and being scanned loads (every 2 weeks towards the end) even though they were thankfully as textbook as it got. Fingers crossed for you!

Montii · 30/07/2021 00:32

I was on progesterone pessaries too and low dose aspirin with my successful pregnancy.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Wishing you all the best Flowers

nacarlos89 · 30/07/2021 07:34

Just want to say a massive congratulations. I've had 2 miscarriages this year and finished my af a week ago which was the first period since my last mc. Hoping we will get our BFP soon.

But I can totally understand how you'd be feeling. I imagine I'll be so happy but so anxious at the same time.

Wishing you all the best with this one. One miscarriage is bad enough but two in a row in devastating and let's hope it all goes amazingly for you this time 💕

@WhatWillGeorgeDo
Thanks so much for your reply.
Im sorry to hear about your losses.
Wow identical twins. They must keep you on your toes.
Your right its so hard to relax. Every little twinge im worried but then when i feel nothing im worried too.
Miscarriage just steals the enjoyment of pregnancy from you.
Im hoping after my 12 week scan i might be able to relax a bit.

@nacarlos89
Thank you so much for your kind message 💕
Yes its a nerve wrecking time. I just want to enjoy it but then i dont want to be complacent and just expect everything to be ok.
Wishing you lots of Luck for your BFP. Its hard going but hang in there... i was beginning to loose hope and was so pleaslently surprised.
I did do a few things differently this month so not sure if they helped or just coincidence but i started using the prenom opks instead of the cheapies from amazon. We also used the SME method and i put my legs in the air for 10mins after BD... not a clue if any of this helped but i was willing to try anything... good luck 💐
