Is my pill not working now?

Hi all,
Sorry if I’ve posted in the wrong section- I wasn’t sure where is best.
I wondered if anyone had any experience with Gedarel/ the combined pill?
I’ve been on the pill for 8 years now- Gedarel for nearly 2 of them.
In the last six months I have missed two periods (I know they’re not really periods) on this pill which is very unusual for me. This month is the second missed period and I’ve had to do pregnancy tests again just to be sure as I also have currently a lot of bloating and acid reflux. I wondered if anyone else had an experience of missed periods on the combined pill, as I’ve never experienced it until these last six months!

How old are you OP? I am 38. Over the last 12 months my periods on the combined pill have become shorter and lighter each month. On my last pill break it lasted for 1 day and didn't even need to use a pad! After several negative pregnancy tests I came off it to a few months ago to have a break and see what was going on. Periods are now as normal and regular. I was wondering if it was an age thing? Just weighing up my options regarding contraception at the moment.
