Preparing for TTC

I'm planning to start TTC for baby number 3 in January. I'm excited to start the journey again and am using these next few months to get as healthy and prepared as possible. Am off the pill now so will start tracking cycles, eating healthily etc...

Just wondered what others did ahead of actually TTC that I can consider to get in the best shape this year?

There's a good book called 'it starts with the egg' which is all about preparing your body to produce healthy eggs

Maybe start taking folic acid and Vit D

Thanks for the comments @User5827372728 and @crochetcrazy1978. I'll definitely take a look at that book, great recommendation.

get into a good exercise routine that you can continue into your pregnancy - nothing too strenuous but sustainable - walking was my go-to :) pleasant & super easy. Yoga & Pilates are great too xx

yes agree with staying fit and healthy.

would definitely recommend The Yoga Class, www.theyogaclass.co , which has a great section for Pregnancy Yoga and Pilates.

I found it kept me strong and feeling relaxed.
Hope this helps

I agree with the above, start taking folic & vit D (or even a conception multivitamin) and do some exercise every day - anything you enjoy.

Same all I did was start taking folic acid and vitamin d and also tracked my cycles with ovulation sticks a few months before so I knew when I was ovulating.

Gabby82 · 26/08/2021 19:44

Thanks for all the comments. I'm ovulation tracking (still waiting for period to return after stopping breastfeeding my 10 month old a month ago), taking folic and vit D. Need to sort out diet and exercise next but it's so hard to find the time!

Reading 'it starts with the egg' too as was recommended, it's great but makes me feel like there is loads more I could/should be doing!
