So I'm 35 and we've been trying 6 months and no sign of a BFP. My bmi is 37 which I know is too high, I am losing it slowly, as fearful of losing it too fast as the only time I've lost enough to be a healthy weight my periods stopped altogether. Currently my periods are fairly regular 27-29 days, but I just want things checked ( for me and DH). I'm just curious as to what usually gets checked if you are obese or if they just send you away and tell you to lose weight?

Woohoo! What a relief @Lalala1985

I continue taking my prenatal vitamins (I take the seven seas trying for a baby ones) throughout, my midwife said there's nothing extra in the pregnancy ones.

I did have anaemia and ended up being prescribed iron pills (hateful things) but when I am next PG I am going to start taking spatone from the start, 2 sachets a day. The taste isn't great but you get used to it and I find they worked in improving my levels pretty quickly. There are quite a few threads on here about spatone and floradix.

Oh and I should have said, you can take the 5mg folic acid and a standard prenatal or pregnancy vitamin, my GP said that's fine when prescribing me the higher strength.
